Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance out now on NSO

I wish they made these games available on eShop without NSO subscription.

I don't mind paying for this game but I don't do online subscriptions.

Yep. No one else would get away with this. To play this game it is minimum $50 with no option to own it.
They could have done same way Sony did with Jeanne d'Arc.

You can get it for free if you own PS+ or you could just normally buy from PSN store.

You guys complaining in this thread should share a subscription. Even better stock up on some discounted eshop credit first.

I can easily get subscriptions but don't get one just for one game and don't play online games.

I just want to buy the game normally.

Can't wait for them to start putting Wii games so we can play Radiant dawn next. This time on normal instead of hard. Every battle was fucking me.

I hate subscriptions too man and I wish Nintendo would change their policy. The way they roll out games is SOOOO SLOW!

They could sell games and still have a sub service! Everyone would be happy.

I just went out and bought a 3ds because im so tired of waiting and next Im gonna have to buy a Wii U because Im not a PC gamer and at this rate i'll never have a way to play Twighlight Princess HD and a few others I really want to own.

Been playing Ocarina 3d and Majoras Mask 3d but spent way too much to be able to do so. These are Nintendo games games that are such classics they should be available to buy and play on every new Nintendo platform! I tried to play them through NSO and while the originals aren't terrible they are a hassle to play. Wind Waker has input lag, so does F Zero GX

This! There's no reason (no good reason) that they can't sell these games in addition to the subscriptions. Many people seem to like sub services. I bet in the future they will but now they're worried too much about creating "value" for the subscription.

Nintendo sucks these days man

It's funny too we get this before a lot of more famous GameCube games, Nintendo knows what it's doing and that the really rare shit should be the priority.
Absolutely. This was apparent when they launched the service with Chibi-Robo of all games, which is one of my personal favorite GameCube games but not one that the masses give any kind of shit about.

I love the direction they've gone with these, I just wish they were a little bit more frequent or more than one at a time

It's not free if you have PS+, stop paying your subscription then you'll see how free it is.
My point was at least you still have the option to buy the game even without PS+.

Unfortunately Nintendo doesn't give you that option.

Yeah.. I was kind of hoping they'd scrap this, or at least improve it, with the Switch 2.

I really don't like the subscription nature of it. And on top of it all it feels super clunky to have every system be its own separate app on the Home Screen imo..

I had this in college and the game was too hard for me. I went back and emulated it a few years ago and it was one of the easier Fire Emblems I've played.

The question then becomes, was I just extremely dumb in college or did years of playing all the 3DS and Switch Fire Emblems prepare me for this one?

Also the Path of Radiance soundtrack is now on the Nintendo Music app.

I'm hoping they'll put Battalion Wars on there and that will get a little bit of a second chance.

But really, it'd be nice if they just put every dang first party GameCube game on there, like they did NES and SNES (or very close to it anyway), I get it probably takes a little more time to port a 3D game, but it's frustrating how slow they are, but can't complain too much if this one is already on it.

The narrative if Nintendo charged to purchase for these would be:

"No way am I paying Nintendo $20 for a ROM-dump of a Gamecube game, greedy azz Nintendo"

followed by:

"Their subscription service sucks so bad and doesn't offer anything, lol stupid greedy Nintendo"

Nintendo let you buy anything on Wii U.

Nobody ever said that. I can play GBA games, Metroid Prime Trilogy or Mario 64 on Wii U right now.

I was so hyped when I got my Switch 2 to play SoulCalibur 2 before I realized it was locked behind an even more expensive sub tier than normal. So fucking lame. I would buy this too.

Oh well guess Ill just continue emulating them.

I started it on the plane just because i had nothing to do.

I like it. Battles dont overstay their welcome and you do have some strat going into each. Still very early on.
