I reached 110 Chapters into Hunter X Hunter manga. I'm at the York New City Arc. So far the manga is fantastic but I still prefer One Piece

I'm surprised at how dark this manga can get

One of the parts has a character threatening another character that he would plant these parastic eggs around his testicles and making them explode when they hatch. The guy threatening the other guy also had a nasty looking face. Total body horror right there

KyotoAni announced new anime adaptation for RuriDragon:

ruri.jpg.png.jpg

So, after Kobayashi Maid Dragon, they go back to dragon girls, though this one is way more in the lines of "Stuff you can show to non-anime fans that absolutely hate fanservice and old characters that look young! category.

The setting is more of a Masquerade one of sorts, there is the supernatural like dragons, but they all stick to themselves and avoid humans to a point where most humans don't even know dragons exist, and then Ruri, a young lazy girl with only one friend who can't be bothered to learn the names of her classmates or really care about interacting with more than one person suddenly grows horns one day and learns her father who she has never seen in all her life is a dragon.

She has to now grow as a half-human half-dragon hybrid as she develops some powers like spewing fire, adapting to that alongside the people in her school.

There are more serious chapters and moments, but it's not a dark sad slice of life series, and like i said, not one with fanservice, or anyone with impossible proportions, or wearing maid outfits, unless the anime adaptation changes a lot, which i doubt from Kyoto Animation, like i said, this will be just a nice fun slice of life series that should be one of those series that non anime fans can stand.

Also, i think this it the first time Kyoto Animation makes an anime adaptation of a Shonen Jump series.

yeah, KyoAni is perfect for this one. it'll be mostly chill and relaxed vib and everyone are pretty positive. LOVE the manga.

new anime season of the year.

starting off with Yuusha Party ep1 which is another guy gets kicked out of party but is actually OP setting. A ton of them lately in the past year. A Jack of All Trades guy. I don't know, I would love to be a jack of all trades. Sounds useful

I like Jack Of All Trades but it definitely won't be winning any awards. the hero's team, outside of the healer, are all freaking idiots of the highest degree. even after the guy had proven himself they're still all against him. but it's that kinda show afterall so just go with it I guess.

on a side note, one of the most horrifying anime will be here later this year. experience the horror of foreign exchange with FX Senshi Kurumi chan.

and also, new Patlabor anime after all these years. I'm definitely going to catch this.

Finished reading through all of Insomniacs After School

Don't read much slice of life, but as someone who had insomnia issues in college I can relate to the premise a bit. Decent story, finding community and cultivating personal growth stuff was nice.

true. I like teacher roles in these types of shows, so that's the aspect edging me on right now

New Dragon Ball Anime sequel announced

Ig51Gt0HNwyDjACm.jpg

This will be the story following the "Universe Survival Arc" of the anime Dragon Ball Super, which aired between 2015 and 2018. It also appears in the manga Dragon Ball as the "Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc." The main character, Son Goku, and Vegeta, work together with the members of the Galactic Patrol, the peacekeepers of the galaxy, to begin a SUPER scale battle against a new enemy, "Planet-Eater" Moro!

I've been rewatching Makoto Shinkai's films lately. What's everybody's favorite? I'm partial to Garden of Words. Beautiful film.

Hell's Paradise S2 is pretty great. Love how dreamlike and weird it feels at times.

Have the complete manga box set as well but I want to finish the season first before starting that.

Cought up with Shangri-La Frontier last week and started reading Mushoku Tensei, 27 chapters in so far and im loving it!

Also finally watched season 3 of Kings Avatar.,that shit was trash...animation gave me a headache.

So the seasonal animes I'm following so far is:

Frieren S2
Fate/Strange Fake (finally its live...)
Playing Death Games To Put Food on the Table
Water Magican one
Jack of all Trades gets Kicked Out of his Party One
Oshi no Ko S3
Wash Away

So I finally got around to kaiju number 8. It's great fun and all but holy shit how does anyone actually live in this world. Kaiju attack Japan every other day. You'd think they'd stop rebuilding and still living there at some point lol. There's gotta be mass casualties constantly.

had been following [Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World With Garbage Balancing] and it's been pretty good. I had been following the manga and while the anime isn't the best quality, it's pretty decent overall. they had kept the story pretty close to the manga, and even if you can tell their budget isn't that high, they seem to had done a pretty good job adapting it. I would recommend it if you're still not too tired of isekai stuff
