Pragmata Demo Switch 2 vs Base PS5 Graphics Comparison + FPS Test

Holy shit you're not kidding, found series S footage

and from the start, they fucked up the textures. And its an aliasing mess in motion, FSR 2 I guess, @ 16:45 in video especially obvious

I was reading on diagonal because the comparison made no sense and saw your post and I though man those textures sure look rough and then I realised…
holy shit GIF

Series S : 70-80W

Switch 2 : ~19W docked

We can give you some time to think it through

I literally ask for proof which you can't provide without getting defensive, don't know what else I should expect from one of the usual suspect Nintendo Fanboys, congrats on the lower power consumption from the console that's also a handheld even though low power consumption is a given for a handheld, doesn't change fact you guys are comparing it to the Series s like that's some grand achievement.

We'll get what we get, along with Nintendo's suite of games built just for the Switch 2. I'll take it.
This. I don't know why some people can't understand that some of us just prefer the Switch 2 platform for our games. We all have our own preferences and there's not really that much more to say on the matter.

I have a base PS5 and a Series X as well as a Switch 2, and the latter is just what I prefer to play my games on, when ever possible.

Getting RE9 on PC.. Pragmata I'm picking up on my Switch. If FF7 Part 3 is day and date on Switch 2 I'll pick that up on Switch as well. It's nice to have the option to play handheld when I want to veg out, grind levels or do side content. I played Remake about 60/40 docked vs handheld.

You're right, we don't understand why you would actively choose to not play a third party title that isn't switch 2 exclusive and has no features especially suited to handheld gaming on the most powerful hardware you own, which isn't a switch 2.

Oh you're right it's on me, but definitely not a problem lol. Did you buy a big flatscreen TV just to then sit in front of it and watch movies on your phone too?
I might be inclined to answer your questions if they weren't framed in such an asinine and condescending manner. Needless to say I don't have any desire to justify my preferences, or delve in to the possible reasons why a random dimwit can't understand why others might like different things.

And its a handheld, so yes immensely impressive.
It really isn't. its capcom just doing a terrible job with taa. The game still runs much better on series s. Personally better to play at stable 60fps then having fps dropping to 45fps in every combat situation.

Wouldn't have comment about it if you hadn't started playing the victim there bud, you're right you don't have to justify it to me, I also don't have to justify my opinion of your justification :pie_sfwth:

Tried the demo on my daughter Series S to compare, IQ is way better on Switch 2, performance is similar. Is matter of time that a comparison is going to pop on YouTube.
Ok i found a fps video and series s is a solid 60fps and switch never hold 60fps so performance is not similar, One is running vastly better. Apparently series s is 720p and not even using a upscaler for some reason probably cause they didn't add it for the demo or dont care since even base ps4 SF6 looks better then series s.

I have no idea what kind of 3rd world poor ass country, one needs to be living in to make consuming 20W vs 80W is such a big issue. I would rather the S2 had a more performant IC capable of chugging 40W in docked mode than consuming 20W and performing like absolute crap. The fact of the matter is keeping low power draw allows the penny pinchers at Nintendo to get away with a positively ancient crappy Samsung fabrication process and cheap low discharge batteries that even phone makers would not use. Of course, those cost savings are not gonna get passed to the consumer, but you will have the idiots at DF going muh low power handheld. What good is the low power if the battery life and graphical performance in handheld mode is on par with or worse than most PC handhelds.

You can see the cuts but I'm not buying a switch 2 to play these games.

I imagine it's only am incredible small percentage of people buying a switch 2 for resident evil and pragmata Vs buying for Nintendo games.

So, I think if you are after these games as your reason for buying a console you should always be looking at the ps5

Dlss is just a upscaler and the one switch 2 uses is usually not even very good but when the TAA is terrible like the one in the capcom engine it shines here thats about it really.

DLSS is literally the industry leader in upscaling.

The fact Nintendo went with Nvidia shows their intelligence at making a product.

The Switch 2 version looks better only because Capcom did a really bad job. A tremendously bad job.

However, I don't blame them. When Xbox as a whole has just sold 28 million and Xbox users don't really buy games, why should they put that much effort?

That being said, they could have just run the series s at switch 2 graphical settings and it'd look and run way better.

The Switch 2 uses degraded lighting, geometry and hair at first glance. Upon further examination, I'm sure we'll find where all the cuts were made.

How barren would these threads be without the terminal NDS patients?
Can you get a fucking life and stop beating this dead horse? Your beloved plastic box is probably just a meter away from the keyboard you're warring from. Go play some games with the graphics quality you think you deserve.

wow just saw a comparison and holy fuck capcom continues the tradition of terrible ports on series s. first SF6. having same IQ and better textures on ps4 and now this just looks freaking terrible on series s, but it runs much better then switch 2. wth are they using for TTA its a flickering mess even on ps5.
Looks like somebody has a Series S

I wonder if gamers will not pick up on this over the years as this tech becomes more of a standard, and everything just becomes oversharpened and darkened like those bad ENB mods.
It's not just 'gamers' - look at the latest trend of AI oversharpened Youtube videos - it's genuinely horrifying how bad it looks, and yet...

Should lock to 30fps and bump up the gfx a tiny bit for it. Unreachable target of 60 outside empty corridors with no combat/effects going off is silly.

That's for PS5 too mind, the quality mode doesn't maintain 60 well at all and it even gets dips in performance mode so yeah, it's a heavy game folks.

Tried the S2 demo and that's the one I'm getting unless there is a big price difference, looks completely fine when playing handheld. I'm not the splitting hair kind of guy and the game isn't a technical showcase anyway.
