One of the greatest movie gunfights.
Loaded up Open Range tonight in his honor.
What a cracking great western. Earnest, fantastic camaraderie between Duvall and Costner. The big hearted counterpart to Unforgiven. A gunfight for the ages, too.
Yeah elderly people shouldn't fall in love, it's unsightly. Haha but even so, I think it's there to drive home the hopeful, redemptive message.RIP Mr. Duvall.
The love story is a little unnecessary, but it's great otherwise. I've never been in a gunfight, but I think that's what a real shoot out in the old west what of been like. Open Range might be my favorite Western and that's saying something as I don't care for Costner at all.

Reminiscent of Rio Bravo in how it faces off against the grimdark cynicism other westerns were going with at the time.
RIP but what a legend.
I still haven't seen this. I'm now looking for it on disc.Loaded up Open Range tonight in his honor.

Highly underrated film. It just builds and is beautiful.I still haven't seen this. I'm now looking for it on disc.
Fight me on this, but Costner has the best Western film repertoire, even better than Eastwood. Silverado, Wyatt Earp, Dances, Open Range, Horizon, Hatfields v McCoys, even Yellowstone against Rawhide. Duvall is no slouch in that area either.Loaded up Open Range tonight in his honor.

A taste of secondhand lions that popped up on my feed
You didn't like it? I thought it was pretty good, that indian raid sequence was awesome. Old ass Costner trying to play what must be a 30 something drifter character...not so muchBro, come on.
I do remember liking the first 30 minutes of that movie. Then I remember turning into the Liam Neeson Why meme for the rest. You didn't like it?
