As someone who wasn't a massive Killzone fan (always preferred Halo), the fact that is that Sony needed a game with mass normie appeal. Killzone never had that which from a purely business/money perspective makes sense they would drop the franchise. As someone who liked the first Horizon game, the sequel and especially the DLC was one of the most nauseating examples of wokeness in a game I've ever seen, not including the genuinely retarded "evil billionaires and super AIs from space" shark jumping in writing killed any lingering interest I had in this franchise.
