That was pretty good. My faith in SIE is starting to restore steadily; out of the announcements here were my top picks:
-
KENA 2 (looks really good, glad to see Ember Lab back to making games again)
-Dead or Alive 7 (FINALLY!!)
-Control Resonant (neat stylistic stuff)
-Beast of Reincarnation (Game Freaks can cook when the hardware's capable

)
-Yakoh: Shinobi Ops (isometric Tenchu could be cool)
-Project Windless (aka Alien Soldier 2: Black Myth Chicken)
-Castlevania: Belmont's Curse (good art style, very fluid animation)
-Silent Hill: Townfall (might be a bit TOO closely similar to Silent Hill 2 visually but could have some neat Candyman x Jacob's Ladder stuff too)
-Rev.NOIR (could be a pretty neat Japanese RPG)
-Saros (slick looking gameplay)
-Marvel Tokon (looking great as usual)
...and the
GOW Trilogy Remake (awesome to see T.C Carson back) is going to be very interesting.
See SIE, those are the kind of games that justify a remake (despite the originals still being well to play today), not stuff like TLOU or Horizon Zero Dawn. The GOW Metroidvania game could be fun, but the art style (more specifically, the animations) were a bit iffy looking for me. But it works well as a shadow drop, absolutely.
Definitely one of the better State of Play events over the past two years.
