I think we shouldn't be pessimistic. Yes, he comes from Microsoft work related to artificial intelligence, but maybe he can come up with good strategies for gamers. He could release high-quality, big-budget, story-focused, and diverse exclusive games. In my opinion, one of the things he should do for Xbox is to release big-budget, high-quality games that are exclusive to the platform. She's obviously being installed under strict orders to implement A.I. initiatives and find cost savings everywhere and fatten the margins. They're just trying to create this narrative that real humans will be using A.I. during game development, and therefore it will have soul. It's just an effort get ahead of the coming criticism and address it head-on.

It's very clear now, any remnants of Xbox being a fiefdom unto itself is gone. Microsoft's stock is in the toilet. Find the savings, speed it up. Earn your keep, or else.

Nadella believes A.I. should cause productivity per employee to skyrocket and Sharma is there to be loyal to Nadella and make it happen.
