They wouldnt have a spot on their state of play if they werent involved with the second one on PCSony didn't publish DS2, nor do they own the IP
The first one was 505 I believe

There are still plenty of their own solely owned IPs that launched this gen not going there or no signs of them going at all.I believe this is simply the natural "evolution" of their initiative. They started slowly, testing the market, and now that they've seen releasing games on PC isn't harming their console at all, there's no reason to stop.
Then why do you count Spider-Man 2?Nah, for this it doesn't count because they don't own the IP. I'm only speaking of IPs that they own.
At least Insomniac has released more games as well. Miles Morales ten months before, R&C Rift Apart three months before, and Spider-Man 2 two years after.Bloody hell. 5 years it would have been from this reveal to launch.
Surely the game isn't shit.
Jean Grey.

No they didnt take a gamble. they were forced to make a GaaS game. a Studio that never made an online game doesnt gamble on GaaS games. 100% they wanted to do a remake of another project and sony forced them into this.Bluepoint took a gamble on a GAAS that didn't work out. That were under Sony for 6 years with nothing to show for it.
Are there? Like which ones? Astro Bot is a very specific case because the whole game is a celebration of the PS5.There are still plenty of their own solely owned IPs that launched this gen not going there or no signs of them going at all.
It seems to have slowed outside of Marvel and DS. Even the language around the Wolverine reveal changed.
Then why do you count Spider-Man 2?
Demon's Souls, GT7, MLB The Show, Astro Bot, might be missing a couple of others. Are there? Like which ones? Astro Bot is a very specific case because the whole game is a celebration of the PS5.
I really don't understand why you want to fool yourselves into thinking something in their strategy has changed. They haven't communicated any changes publicly or in their financial reports. They remain committed to launching live service games on multiple platforms, including other consoles. It doesn't even make logical sense to assume they are changing something.
Source? And again, it's not an IP they own, as you originally stated.Because that's the fastest that they've done it for one of their games. They own the rights to make their Spiderman games. It's obvious that another company at the moment can't make a "Spiderman" game, since Sony has those rights.
We have no clue if or when its coming to PC, what is this post lolConsole exclusive? Yes. Platform exclusive? No. It will be coming out on PC, although likely not day one.
The X-Men have always been woke. Your inability to understand it doesn't make it less true.will they make wolverine woke?
It's wild how many people are unaware of how vocal Marvel and DC have been about these things for several decades now.The X-Men have always been woke. Your inability to understand it doesn't make it less true.

Right up there with people that complain about how Star Trek is woke these days as if it hadn't been from it's inception. People have zero media literacy these days. It's wild how many people are unaware of how vocal Marvel and DC have been about these things for several decades now.
They were much better written in the 80s and 90s and not ham-fisted current year cringe or omission of good looking females characters. The X-Men have always been woke. Your inability to understand it doesn't make it less true.

Yeah but that was the entire 80s and 90s aesthetic. If you look at the earlier designs they were in line with their contemporary art styles. These things changing over time is to be expected and at some point the pendulum will swing back and you guys will get your cake back. They were much better written in the 80s and 90s and not ham-fisted current year cringe or omission of good looking females characters.
They brought us this cake,

Phil already had that covered, though. Some random announcement for people to forget about Bluepoint.
Nah, they even started out the first game with ass. Remember Black Cat? Butterface, but had that dump truck. Then SBI got involved and MJ got the butterface and TLoU2 Ellie ass treatment.Yeah but that was the entire 80s and 90s aesthetic. yea, maybe the Marvel properties are just so big its not worth holding back.I agree. Mostly because ports of games 3-4 years old were selling the same or better of ports coming out within a year. However, I bet Wolverine and the next Spider-Man get released within a year on PC. I am sure it is in contracts with Disney to do that. I don't think it is up to Sony to wait
Yeah but the first game released 2018 so they probably started development in like 2013ish which would be pre all the metoo stuff. You're just seeing contemporary reactions to current culture show up in the work which I'd say is normal. I think the current cultural backlash many have against wokeism will swing the pendulum back the other way for a while and you'll eventually see them land in more of a middle ground. It's just how these things work.Nah, they even started out the first game with ass. Remember Cat Woman? Butterface, but had that dump truck. On Twitter with no fanfare? These come in a trailer usually...Deep dive in June I suppose
I get your point, but I wouldn't call revealing the release date a "random announcement".

They must be under a lot of pressure to release pre-GTA6. Sort of feels like it is getting tossed under a bus. Developers probably found out about the release date the same as we did, through a social media post.
With such a big game like this, I'd expect a little more you know? Seems like "here's some good news as well guys!"Yeah......saintjules said the same. You both could be right
Where they're finding out it was a minority with a loud microphone.Yeah but the first game released 2018 so they probably started development in like 2013ish which would be pre all the metoo stuff. Funny part is, who at this stage? The Insomiac hack. It's contractual. Both have opt-out clauses. I believe one of them is that every Marvel Game from Sony has to sell at least 5 million copies. If one doesn't then Marvel can opt-out the contract and have others make a Spiderman game.
Couldn't agree more. I feel like all of that was Sony's call more than Marvel too. I mean, Marvel still continued to make swimsuit issues and other stuff. So it's not like they completely pulled out of that. Sure, some things changed, but that's just the changing of times. I respect that the comics are all still going, especially since I grew up loving them so much as a kid. But it got to a point where a lot of the stories were just getting too ridiculous to me and I was no longer invested, lol. I still think the heavy Jim Lee era was my favorite.
This is me. I want this to be good, it's one of my favorite characters of all time....I just don't trust Insomniac at all. If they show me that they've learned to get rid of the activism shit, they've got a guaranteed sale out of me, but I don't know for sure yet. I feel burned after preordering Spider-Man 2 when I always tell everyone only idiots preorder games, and in that case I proved myself to be part of that demographic. Not gonna get me again.I really hope there is very little wokism.
Please
Partial. They made sure to cut the bottom cheeks off with plants, decks, rocks or the like.Yeah Sony did get caught up in that stuff and it was totally unnecessary. Hopefully they are realizing that it was all for nothing. We did get naked butt Ashu in GOY.

They gave us full on Jin ass down to his calves though in contrast, lol.
ordinarily, this'd be a tough one for me, but i'm pretty much samurai'd out at this point. will be delighted if wolverine turns out to be good...Phantom Blade Zero and Wolverine are just one week apart. September will be a good month for me.
I'm not interested in any ultra-exclusive, high-budget PlayStation games until he leaves

So we are gonna act like SM2 wasn't liked or loved by millions of people now?
Isn't the fastest we've seen a port around 14 months?
It makes me wonder what Sony knows about October. Surely something big is releasing that month.
Insomniac, Sony doesn't really care about any of those things.I feel like all of that was Sony's call more than Marvel too.
Sure, my point was not Marvel.Insomniac, Sony doesn't really care about any of those things.
We do know its coming to PC per the Insomniac hackWe have no clue if or when its coming to PC, what is this post lol
its 100% not day one, not even "likely not"
yeah, I knowSure, my point was not Marvel.![]()
Cool. Don't buy it and.....

You anti-wokies are just as bad as the wokies these days.
Or they are simply steering clear of the planned GTA launch in November? That thing will suck all the air out of any other game discussion as it approaches launch. This gives a good 2 months before sales numbers drop regardless. It makes me wonder what Sony knows about October. Surely something big is releasing that month from one of their 3rd party partners.
I dont think a hack from years ago says its coming to PC day oneWe do know its coming to PC per the Insomniac hack
