40-60fps no VRR and we are not even in the leon sections where the combat gets action heavy. sounds like a pretty terrible port.
That's certainly a take LoL

Better blurry than Unreal Stuttering for PCMR
Not at all. this is df take as well Unlocked fps all over the place is never a great experience and this sections with nothing going on. Df talked about in other RE games would be much better if they offered a locked option. Hopefully they offered a locked option for people that want a smoother experienceThat's certainly a take LoL
Resident Evil Requiem is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on Feb 27, 2026
A new era of survival horror arrives with Resident Evil Requiem, the latest and most immersive entry yet in the iconic Resident Evil series. Experience bone-chilling survival horror with FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and dive into pulse-pounding action with legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Both their journeys and unique gameplay styles will intertwine in an unforgettable, heart-stopping experience.
RT cores, according to some reviews the Switch 2 port uses the Raytracing capabilities of the hardware.Something very curious going on here.

I've tested Resident Evil Requiem on PCs from a handheld and laptop, to an RTX 5090 monster
And it's good news all round. Except for one of them.www.pcgamer.com
The ROG Ally, which is more powerful than the Steam Deck btw, completely shits the bed in the game. Even at 720p lowest settings with FSR upscaling(!) it is completely unplayable at framerates in the super low teens. Yet, Switch 2 handles it well at 60 FPS with some drops.
Either this is the craziest optimization that has ever optimized, or something else is going on. Perhaps the Lowest settings are far above Switch 2 settings? But that wouldn't make much sense in terms of scalability.
You can turn rt off im re9 apparentlyRT cores, according to some reviews the Switch 2 port uses the Raytracing capabilities of the hardware.
Probably for some reflections, but looks like the game was built around RT.You can turn rt off im re9 apparently

I absolutely get if someone is a Nintendo fan only, so there's nothing else to compare it to, obviously, you will get the Switch version no matter what. But I remember when I had Switch 1 and all these rave reviews for Doom 2016 and Wolfenstein on it. Yeah, they "ran" but even in handheld mode on that tiny screen, it looked muddy like ass, i mean it was blur bonanza. Just because a game can run on a system doesn't always mean it should.

I can still sell a game key card. Its sad RE games on NS2 are all key cards. They're all good versions and I wouldn't mind double dipping if there was an actual, physical Game in there. Sigh
Sadly, some people just can't accept the fact that a Nintendo hybrid console is having this kind of results. I am double dipping, PC and Switch 2.People should be happy, for once, that a new AAA game is available for all to enjoy, but instead we have platform warring, even at the best of times (for the game).
I can still sell a game key card.![]()
Feel exactly the same. I'll still get them, but wait for 5 dollars and pop or so as opposed to much sooner if real physical versions had existed. Its sad RE games on NS2 are all key cards. game is 40-60fps and looks like its being streamed with how low resolution it is, best to play it on other consoles.

If you think that shit looks good you are in dire need of glasses.60 fps on a AAA game that is releasing day-and-date with PS5, Xbox and PC.
Oh boy the salt is salty with this one.

p.s hair looks good too.
If you ever wet yourself over PSX graphics, you have wet legs to stand on.If you think that shit looks good you are in dire need of glasses.
yea no one compared them yet and most likely won't be.
It's not even about being impressed my dude i'm watching footage and it looks like a game being streamed and 40-50fps with out VRR feels like shit.If you ever wet yourself over PSX graphics, you have wet legs to stand on.
someone said it was the best handheld version and i said no one compared them yet and most likely will not be the best handheld version.![]()
WTF is that, little victimhood play here? Why would it not be compared at least a dozen times and by DF like almost every single switch 2 games
But nice little concern trolling before with you just want peoples to best experience this masterpiece
So never play games on consoles, always PC![]()
Yeah I think I will too, weird as it would have been PS5 and PCSadly, some people just can't accept the fact that a Nintendo hybrid console is having this kind of results. I am double dipping, PC and Switch 2.
Just keep bellowing. I'm sure you're single-handedly slowing down Switch 2 sales. It's not even about being impressed my dude i'm watching footage and it looks like a game being streamed and 40-50fps with out VRR feels like shit.
Yup 30fps or 40fps mode would make this much better but capcom doesn't know how to do that for some odd reason. Why no 40fps mode, dum dums?
Just keep bellowing. I'm sure you're single-handedly slowing down Switch 2 sales.
i don't think he wants to slow down sales... he wants you to buy it and then feel bad
You seriously think people with a PS5 or a decent PC are going to buy this for the Switch 2 just to 'experience this masterpiece properly'?I want people to experience this masterpiece properly.
Does the dock supports 120Hz output? The day Nintendo fixes the dock it's going to be a glorious console. Why no 40fps mode, dum dums?
I'm like 99% handheld player, but I believe it does. iirc it was something to do with VRR that was the issue.Does the dock supports 120Hz output? The day Nintendo fixes the dock it's going to be a glorious console.
