That's a lot of mecha series, we are so back. Cinema in the making.

I watched a bunch of og Patlabor anime and I might've watched the original movie, too, but I forgot to record any of this on myanimelist. I remember really liking the show. Mech pilot police :] . Awesome concept.

I love GATE: the SDF recruitment anime. the manga I think is still ongoing? I should catch up on it. I believe this is based on the mobile game that's more naval theme so my Navy vet friend might be into this. should be a good watch.

Ended up watching the whole first part of Baki-Dou in just two sessions lol. I starts kinda slow but once things got going I was hooked. The new character is cool, the fights are great (with the one between Musashi and Retsu being the highlight) and it had the usual funny moments, with the chat between Izo and Yujiro being my fav.

Can't speak about it's quality as an adaptation since I haven't read the manga, but I heard it's quite faithful to the source material if maybe a little bit too fast paced.

I've really liked it, and hope there's more episodes coming soon!

Latest One Piece is FANTASTIC

The double spreads are some of the best I seen in the manga especially when they involved Niddhoggr. That dragon looks so fucking FANTASTIC

I kinda drifted away from Chrono Crusade after a couple of episodes. It's fine, but it was better back in the day. Now I'm seeing how Burst Angel holds up. It certainly still looks good.

Oda has been outdoing himself for a while now, since the end of the flashback, each chapter is more hype than the last. The huge nightmares - incarnations of fear themselves - looking like toys and running in utter terror in front of Niddhogr was just... :messenger_blowing_kiss:

Reiwa no Dara-san (Reiwa era's Ms Dara) looking to be a pretty faithful anime adaptation. it's kinda a comedy gag story created based off of a online crowd sourced urban legend. kinda like SCP and Backroom. it's rather hilarious while still keeping the mythical seriousness done pretty well. the still ongoing manga was a very enjoyable read and I'm definitely looking forward to this. side note, the mangaka does H stuff too and I'll just leave it at that.

yes I know, another reincarnation/isekai story from a light novel. but this one is one of the more decent ones. they put a lot into the setting and the story was actually pretty interesting. the manga had been a joy to enjoy and looks like the anime would be pretty well done too.

I'm still rewatching older stuff while waiting for new episodes of Hells Paradise and Chained Soldier lol. I'm rewatching Ergo Proxy now. Love that show.

awesome Frieren episode this week. Sucks that it's a short season. I think only one more episode. But every episode has been quality, so can't really complain

I'm bouncing between even more stuff.

I'm on an Italy kick so I picked back up with a manga called Arte which is about a young woman in renaissance Florence who becomes a painter's apprentice. That's not very historically accurate, obviously, and the characters act like Japanese people lol but even so I like it so far!

and I found an anime called Ristorante Paradiso which is set in modern day Rome. I think it's sort of like what if Ouran High School Host Club were set in a classy Italian restaurant and all the men were older. And not so much funny as mostly really chill and nice. Into it so far.

ALSO one of them is voiced by Takaya Kuroda aka KIRYU :]
