The only thing that this retarded move by Nadella will do is push users to MacOS and Linux, which continue to look better by the minute.
Depends on what you want? Security and/or privacy? Qubes has no rival.Fucking disgusting miss me with that subscription bullshit. If someone wants to switch to Linux whats a good place to start?

Good. I'll be sure to not get a NPU, whatever the fuck that meansNPUs are still early-stage chips and not widely adopted across all systems. This requirement will lock out millions of PC owners from updating to Microsoft's next OS, but fortunately, Windows 11 support will last for another few years.
I will switch to Linux wholesale and keep my PS5 for CoD and whatever doesn't work on Linux if true. Go fuck yourself MS.
...allowing the addition and removal of components. This will help customise the OS for each build, whether it's a lighter-weight system, a gaming-prioritised build, etc.
Neural Processing Unit. It's stupid because its a completely unnecessary requirement. Windows are just in cahoots with hardware manufacturers. They do this to push new hardware sales. They did it with windows 11 too and then removed some of those requirements later to boost win 11 adoption.Good. I'll be sure to not get a NPU, whatever the fuck that means
Does nobody on this forum read anymore? I don't see how this is a bad thing unless it's complete bullshit.
Typical kneejerk reaction from people who still run Windows 10 because they don't know how to confirgure a PC. The OS they hated when they were on Windows 8, which is the OS they hated when they were on Windows 7, etc. Same shit with every release.
Some parts of the OS might also be locked away behind a subscription model that are expected to be "advanced AI services",
Yes, yes, MS is making this "AI OS" to be lighter on hardware and out of the goodness of their hearts.Does nobody on this forum read anymore? I don't see how this is a bad thing unless it's complete bullshit.

Don't mind the metric ton of spyware on Win11, the AI bullshit like Recall, all the bugs, and AI sub in Win12. It's all going to be great.
May I interest you in this amazing NYC landmark that is totally for sale?

This modular feature reads like Microslop themselves allowing people to debloat the OS.Does nobody on this forum read anymore? I don't see how this is a bad thing unless it's complete bullshit.

Sounds too good to be true. There will be a catch.

TPM and secure boot etc were obviously for improving windows shitty security and probably the whole reason 11 exists - otherwise all the changes to 11 would have just been updates to 10, but they had to have a new number because of these hardware requirements. I don't think MS wanted to ever have a new OS version - 10 would have been it. I don't think they put in these security requirements to help sell hardware because obviously everyone could just stay on 10 if their hardware didn't meet requirements - which is essentially the same OS - which a lot did.Neural Processing Unit. Yeah, I was fine with that forced hardware upgrade, because there was a good pro-consumer reason.TPM and secure boot etc were obviously for improving windows shitty security and probably the whole reason 11 exists - otherwise all the changes to 11 would have just been updates to 10, but they had to have a new number because of these hardware requirements. Smoking $100 bills.WTF are MS smoking?
They would have stayed on old hardware but a lot of businesses upgraded due to their hardware not supporting Windows 11:I don't think they put in these security requirements to help sell hardware because obviously everyone could just stay on 10 if their hardware didn't meet requirements - which is essentially the same OS - which a lot did.
Oh the AIrony.Yeah they are releasing an AI OS at a time when absolutely no one can take advantage of it due to AI lmao.
Shame they still lack a lot of the games Windows gets otherwise they'd be much more popular. We got to a point where even Mac is more value than a fucking Windows machine. I have a Mac and I'm finally glad I do. What if it goes to shit? I'll just use Linux on my shitty work laptop that I was given for free and I'll fully own in 2 years.
We have a European government switching to Linux.Hahahaha, yes! Just fucking do it M$, it will be glorious to see them willingly and freely cut their own guts open - Seppuku style.

Hollywood might be dead, but luckily big corpo makes up for it with entertaining, satirical and dystopian buffoonery.
It worked for office 365, the subscription part at least. People had no choice really and just roll with it. They are probably hoping for the same with Windows. Let's be honest outside of this gaming form, hardly anyone is going to swith to Linux or convert en mass to MacOS. I hate it from top to bottom, but they are greedy.Dead on arrival. No one wants this garbage.
WTF are MS smoking?
Hope the next will be gaming support then I'll jump ship*laughs in Linux*
(I finally have a reason to use that meme)
