Marathon releases to 87,000 players on Steam and 87% Positive Reviews (sponsored by coachmcguirk91)

I didn't say "less", I said fewer because I'm not retarded.

So, your big brain take is that losing money on this leads to MOAR AAA. Ok roll with that then professor.
So wait fewer and less don't mean the same thing?

According to insiders the shift has already begun but the results will take time.
Oh snap really? I hadn't heard this. Thank goodness. GaaS literally wasted this ENTIRE generation.

Do you have tweet or link to this rumor you heard by chance? Was it from anyone legit?

Not every1, just like with concord 1 and 2, we got few gaffers who swear on their momma's virginity game is actually amazing, but logically can u really believe those individuals?

Yeah Concord situation was wild. The goalposts shifted so much they went outside the stadium.

Lmao less AAA games? What orifice did you pull that from?
We all know the answer to that question. It's also patently false. Plenty of great AAA games exist outside of Western trash:
  • RE 9 just released
  • Tides of Annihilation
  • Onimusha
  • Crimson Desert
  • Phantom Blade Zero
I'm so glad China and South Korea have entered the industry. I can just point and laugh at bloated Western studios churning out dog shit and just play Asian games lol.

Only two people on my friends list are playing right now out of 26 online. The two that are playing are die hard bungie fanatics who I ran clans either in D1 and 2. More are online playing Arc than Marathon. I have a lot of friends on PS due to Destiny and adding people and whatnot. Tomorrow night when there's 120+ online I'll be able to see how many are playing from a small but still good representation sample size.

Over 85% positive steam reviews, i smell multiple "bungie's return to form" articles made by ur usual suspects- professional reviewers aka sellout journos xD

Currently at 86,000.

If this game skews heavy to USA east coast, it might pick up next few hours as that's peak game time after dinner. But doubtful it'll break 100k even if that happens.

Weekend numbers will tell the whole story, but for now, I think it's not bad for $40 gaas starting games.

Of course Sony/Bungie have higher expectations, so fingers crossed of they will shutdown it early or not.

Not my type of game but watched my brother playing it on ps5 pro and boy it looks neat. He seems to like it.

My god you are fucking insufferable.
1.Destiny players that feel abandoned; Destiny 2 state + Controversies and Marathon taking resources away of an hypothetical Destiny 3.

2. Play Station players haters of the GaaS initiative.

3. Bungie being woke as fuck.

4. People who are done with hero and extraction shooters.

5. (incredibly small, almost insignificant) people genuinely caring for the plagiarism

Seems like Palpatine activated operation "calling hate" as a defense mechanism. Expect this to be spammed for a time.

Sad to see Marathon flop, but the game looks so much more bland and boring compared to Arc Raiders.

There is a real chance the game will be in maintenance mode in 6 months.

Yes, the game looks fine. I don't know what the point is in hoping the game flops, especially when hundreds of people might lose their jobs in the process.
Picturing a group of people pressing F5 on steamdb hoping for the numbers to go down every 5 minutes sounds depressing af but oh well... we all do with our time what we want lol.

They will probably try revert this situation abit by going for plan B and releasing on other plataforms.
I don't think it will help that much though. Still believe it will cost massive cuts there.

Also this:

Marathon's final graphics aren't "peak" nor "aura farming" they still look unfinished, they don't make justice to the concept art and cinematics... In fact, the cinematics are being used to compensate for somehting...

I think this game's shallowness will become more evident as time passes. That CCU will start to struggle if Bungie is unable to address the complaints

why is everyone rooting for this to fail? I haven't been paying attention to the "discourse".
Because they think the graphics are ugly, they can't fap to any females, and they want Sony to bomb. I've even seen people claim its woke somehow and I'm still trying to find what is exactly woke.
