This was awesome. Anybody catch it yet? I'm pretty sure my T levels went up 200 ng/dL as soon as I finished it. Not gonna spoil it or link to a trailer but watch it if you get a chance. It's very action -heavy, military-themed, dumb alpha bros everywhere, 90s/00s feel, Alan Ritchson brutally frame-mogging everyone, with some solid special effects. Surprisingly bloody too. I give it an 8/10

It's more of a effects/stunt demo than an actual film, IMHO. It was very competently filmed, but god damn the military aspect was rooooouuugghhh. But the actual robot was quite cool if somewhat nonsensical in design. It lacked the macho bravado of Predator or the weird wacko cheese elements of something like Enemy Mine or Flash Gordon to make it a cult classic. How they got Dennis Quaid, Jai Courtney (ok, maybe he is cheap), and Esai Morales to cameo in this is bizarre. These actors should have been the team in the field, not the goofball nobodies we got.

Enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended. Was looking for filler till f1 fp3 started but got hooked watched thru to end.

I started it last night but was too tired to finish, only got about 25 minutes in or so, but he's basically just cut and pasted into this movie as his Jack Reacher character from what I saw. The man of few words, but fucks shit up kind of character.

It's more of a short story of man vs. himself than a sci-fi film against aliens, sort of how The Grey isn't really a film about wolves. Not as good as The Grey but enjoyable and as an older brother I found it relatable.

My buddy put this on last night. I missed the first 10 minutes but watched the rest. Its decent. The military trainng stuff bored me but once they got to fighting the alien mech thing it picked up. Cast was pretty good . Theres an action scene in an apc that is really awesome.

It's a good action flick but its not particularly fresh. This is one of those ones that would've been regarded as a classic if it came out in the 80s but 40 years later its not pariruclarly memorable I think. Worth a watch for special effects. They are very solid
