The review score and sales are funny.

But dont laugh too much. A bunch of people got paid good money to make this junk for years. Another gaming grift.

And given the tone of the game, I wouldnt be surprised if the company leached government funding to make it. It happens sometimes for these kinds of games. So there's chance your tax dollars paid a bunch of people salaries for years to make it.

Demo was mediocre. It was basically go here, kill a few enemies ( fixed cam ), pick some food, repeat. Art was ok. Writing was shit especially after coming from KCD2. Performance was fine for me?

Makes you realise how much effort actually goes in making a good game ( KCD2 ).

Also kinda shame that everyone from any spectrum of political belief is going to focus on the part of the game that has zero impact on the gameplay or design. Irony is that the dev themselves did this for if they had released it without any of that "modern gaming" spin on a historical setting ( read as: dialogue is basically pop-culture GenZ lingo with a LGBTQ flavour ) I think it would have done better.

They could have done it in a much better way, like time travel to 21st century so you're fighting to save MCs sister ( Bianca ) across timelines. Would have been cool.

remember depression quest... people were asking why some stupid text adventure game got so much write up in gaming press... then we found out why, and that kicked off gamergate

there's thousands of shitty indie games that come out a year on steam, why did this one get press? well it's obvious
