Barely played this last week with the distant audio being a bit fucked plus I was busy irl. Will be back on the grind now that it's fixed. Looking forward to the weekend.

Jumped in when the servers came back online and proceeded to get fucked for the first 4 games 🤣, losing loads of gear. Just when we were feeling down and out we had 3 amazing games. Huge gunfights with multiple teams and so much loot we couldn't carry it all. That's what I love extraction games, and Marathon in particular. The dopamine hit of taking someone's amazing items and then having to get out, is like nothing else. God this game is good.
 
Just died as I was looting someone I killed. No idea how. They had just been fighting bots and it looked like the floor may have been burning. Think I noticed it before looting and ignored it lol

Need to start taking self revive more often.

Just checked my GPU usage and it was under 40% on outpost and was sitting at 45C. The GPU literally sleeps during this game.. Really hope Bungie can fix this. I feel like i should get a lot more fps

Yeah i have a Asus G14 with a 5080 /Ryzen 370 and the performance is dogshit.

My other intel laptop and desktop and its passable. Its so CPU bound they need to sort it across all configurations low to high.
 
I didnt wanted to play today, because im tired and still working tomorrow morning, but i cant help myself lol. Im just doing fun rook runs tho. I noticed lots of small polish and changes. Like it says the map name after you exfill etc. Great patch so far

I got paired with two absolute monsters earlier. They were fucking CRACKED. I literally spent the entire match just trying to keep up (they were Vandal and Thief, I was Destroyer, so...) but to say that I was completely humbled is an understatement.

We started out wiping a team, then we travel a little bit wipe another team. I'm already decked out at this point (I came in with a free kit, sore loss right before) and the lock down starts. One guy goes in, the other tells me to wait with him outside the area. Lockdown comes down, we get a bunch of loot. Repeat two more times, these guys wiping a team each lockdown. At the last one they say "Hey Burning, it's all yours man take it"

Purple backpack
Purple upgrade mats
3 purple guns
Self revives
4k credit items
Purple Marathon key
Gold Marathon key

End of run loot was worth 23k for me... I wanted to be hyped (I'm definitely happy don't get me wrong) but I just felt useless to these guys and a little guilty getting all this stuff. Then I choked hard next match and lost a 4k loadout, currently in that "I suck" state of mind.

Maybe tomorrow will be better. I have the loot, just need the ability. Might do solos and Rook runs to get practice. I don't ever want to feel that useless again lol
 
Looks like cryo is timegated. 2 big destiny streamer who's doing the ARG shit got a package that got remotely opened by bungie while hes doing the interview. They got an invitation to bungie HQ in 48 hours and the bungie dev just left the discord after the box opened LOL

Shit was funny

Definitely dropping this weekend. Id struggle to scrape together a few 5k loadouts right now tbh, i gotta stop just fucking around and get some shit done lol.
 
Yea not gonna lie I'm nowhere near ready for it or ranked. Think my stash is only worth 90k and I have like 40k credits. Ranked sounds way too sweaty for me, like really sweaty and could be really frustrating losing progress constantly.
 
Great patch notes, not risking any more of my high level gear before Cryo, need to be able to meet that 5K threshold lol. I repeat I hope it can be done solo, that is my preference, let's see what happens.

Can't see it being done solo until at least its been run multiple times by groups.

Might be able to nip in and out if there are early exfils available.

Where did you see no solo play? Did Bungie themselves explicitly state it?

I do sometimes play with randoms, it's highly subjective which is preferable solo vs squad play and I *vastly* prefer solo, it is a singular experience unlike anything else I've played before, there is no "converting" lol.
