What's your gaming routine right now?

I'm impressed you can have nine games in rotation. I only keep two at a time (one per console) plus Call of Duty with my friends when they want to play.

My routine is to do work/chores/everything during the day so that once I put my kid to bed at 8pm, I can hop in bed and turn on the TV to play something. I do this almost every night unless I'm too tired.

ows gaming in your bed going for you?

Been doing it since I was 13. Since it's the last thing I do before bed, I can just play until I'm tired, turn off the PS5 or Switch, and turn the TV off and close my eyes to go to sleep in like 30 seconds. My wife doesn't mind, she stays up later than me anyway.

Yeah I've thought about switching my OLED tv to the bedroom to get my best gaming there as well. I hate getting up from the bed to go game in another room.

My current one includes sitting at my PC at least twice a day considering what to play only to leave few minutes later deciding I'm not in the mood for anything in particular.

Seriously, I haven't touched a game in a couple months at this point.

For the record this is nothing particularly unusual for me. It happened several times across the years, mostly every time I'm too busy/distracted with something else.

So fear not, I'm not going to start another retarded thread "Am I too old to play videogames now?"

When the kids are in bed, the kitchen is clean, I've showered, it's around 9PM. Then I fire up my ancient PC, vape some bud, play some (usually old) games for 30 mins (often cruise a few rounds in Live for Speed), then do gamedev till midnight and beyond. Plus youtube when on snack and weed breaks.

Luxury of routine? Not here.

I sneak in 30-60 min when I can. Usually have 1 game per system going at a time so I don't confuse story, characters, controls. Play til it's completed or I get bored.

Bloodborne streamed from pc to steamdeck after kids go to bed, while watching sopranos with wife
Adding a second screen really leveled up my gaming setup, especially for certain genres. I've sunk hundreds of hours into management sims (Football Manager in particular) while rewatching movies or catching up on YouTube in the background

Now I only need to find a woman

I don't necessarily have a routine of any sort, I just try to get it in when I get a minute. Such is the nature of being a dad with a wife in grad school and trying to balance doing most of the house chores, (thank goodness my kid's incredible and very helpful with that), and trying to keep up with this old as fuck house as best as my retarded ass can and still get my work done on time.... something's gotta give, and lately it's been game time. Unfortunately, it's also negatively affected my motivation to train, as I tend to lose that when I'm not regularly engaging in hobbies, so I've been making a point to try to play some games if I get a minute. Yesterday I loaded up Red Dead Redemption and showed my daughter the Undead Nightmare campaign and we had fun screwing with that for about a half hour, which was pretty cool.

Mario kart world and one single player game that I try to get a couple sessions in a week and then might do a crunch session for it one random week to complete some significant progress
