Ok, copy pasting that from your post so keep it hosted pleaseDurante said:No. In fact, I changed my .exe, I rewrote my .inis, I added mods and I use the console and I still get achievements. (As it should be)
Yes. The op config actually introduces rendering errors. Please replace it.
Ok good, will add to the OP!Nekrono said:It's supposed to be for Skyrim and also "fixes" some of Rage's issues, even though the official notes don't say anything that's what CatalystCreator has posted on his tweeter.
I'm downloading right now and I also would like BF3 fixes/performance.
Durante said:With the settings I posted above transparency AA works but there are no rendering errors regarding transparency (fire, spell effects, the Kahjiit heads etc)
LiquidMetal14 said:I've had 2 people confirm it so give it a shot. A few posts back or in the fixes section in the OP.
Nothing specific for Skyrim? Seems pretty basic.
Are you sure you don't have any of the other AA forcing settings enabled? And that you selected the correct AA compatibility bits?moop1167 said:So why would it happen to me and a few others earlier in the thread? I don't get that, because I want to have transparency multisampling.
Yep, they included an older CAP in 11.11, supposedly the newer CAP that's aimed for Skyrim will be coming out later.CabbageRed said:The CAPs say 11.11 11/15/2011

I haven't seen any other one's than the one you already know, sorry.DoctorZ said:Is there a console command for worldfov? I cant tell a difference unless I see it change.

There is supposed to be some improvements as noted by a few on the Guru3d forums but I can't find any official documentation yet stating such.BadTaste105 said:Probably fooling myself but I think there's a performance increase in Skyrim with those 11.11 drivers, maybe I'm talking shit but I'm in Solitude with about 40 - 50 fps, before it was 30-40 fps.
Did you try the RP settings in the OP? Curious to see more try it. And can you OC that CPU more? Also, try the memory tweak in the OP too.nemss said:I'm seeing a little boost in performance from the 11.11 update.
In Whiterun, I'd be down into the teens when I'd look at a light source, around 25 FPS going around town. 60FPS when outside of town exploring. Now I'm looking at mid 30's for the most part, unless I'm looking at a light source, which goes to mid 20's now.

Cheech said:I've always liked ATi cards, but they are really trying my patience lately. It took them several tries to get BF3 right (and even so, I'm not positive their drivers aren't causing that crash bug), and Skyrim? These are two of the biggest, if not THE biggest PC games of the year, and they don't have full driver support ready to roll? Do they not have a clue as to what the people who buy their GPUs are looking for? These are not $40, bargain barrel cards. People spend real money on this shit, and nVidia has been on the ball with BF3 and Skyrim over and above ATi. I will keep this in mind when I'm in the market for an upgrade.
Which section of the .ini should that be in?LiquidMetal14 said:Can more folks test these out
fDefaultWorldFOV=XX (ex.fDefaultWorldFOV=85)
fDefault1stPersonFOV=XX.XXXX (ex.fDefault1stPersonFOV=85.0000)
Would like to see more confirmations of it working.

Not sure, let me ask. I would say display but I haven't tested these myself.Durante said:Which section of the .ini should that be in?
That is very tempting but I want to do it right and not take the fun outTheOctagon said:Here's another neat trick, this time for when you've thoroughly exhausted any hope of playing the game properly (which I'd like to stress I haven't).
Each of these commands spawns a QA chest at the player's location that includes every item in the game:

Thanks, added it, I'll report on what happens.Pazuzu9 said:The Skyrim.ini, under [Display].
As far as I can tell, you don't need anything in SkyrimPrefs.ini, or the Steam launch options, or the console.
It's still working for me! I can't believe it... hasn't reset itself... *touches wood*
AEREC said:Is there any fix for the low dialogue volume?
Theres probably an argument to be made that we cut Bethesda Game Studios a little too much slack about the issues that plague the launch of every one of its products, but the games are just so damn good, so...we overlook it.
This is why Ive put 25 hours into Skyrim and dont seem to care about a fairly serious texture issue!
That said, Bethesda has publicly admitted there are plenty of kinks to work out. Pete Hines, the companys VP of marketing and public relations, told his Twitter followers that a patch is coming.
We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and [performance] issues we can, he said. We will fix as much as we can for your platform. I don't know if it will fix your bug. Takes a while to test/fix/regress. Hang in there.
At the moment, there is no word yet on when its coming out, but as the company is still actively monitoring submissions from the community, its possible your issue could still be flagged and included in an upcoming patch.
If you were expecting that patch in the next 24 hours, however, that may prove too optimistic.

Once I again I'm getting nothing from these. Just tried out the 11.11's
Pretty much same system as you. 6870, 2.5ghz quad.
Straight inside Whiteruns main door. 22fps. Hasnt changed with anything I've done. Adjusting shadows is the only thing that gives me a bit. Even going from 0xMSAA to 8xMSAA does nothing.
I'm guessing something in my system is completely locking my system into a certain performance. Like a bottleneck I guess.
AEREC said:Overall volume is really low, but dialogue especially so sometimes.
I have noticed the 8000 shadow distance - how can you stand the pixelated shadows?Jubbly said:I've been aggressive with the LOD and particles to increase long-range detail (mountain snow, tree LOD2 quality, etc) and my FPS is still 60 or near 60 at all times, even on two 580s, so maybe it'll work on one?
No crashes, no performance issues, no ugrids, no mods beyond blood and faces, and no trickeryShadow distance is set to 8000 to avoid shadow pop, but you may prefer increased detail so just reduce the figure.
