Gotta love that Ultimo pic. It's up there with Everything Belt Sheamus.

Wrestlezone is reporting that Morrison is leaving the WWE, but won't be going to TNA or any other fed. Instead he'll be going into... Wait for it... Acting.
ROFL
That's gonna turn out REAL well...hahaha

Don't stretch the truth.
You knew all those things prior to reading that blurb.

I suppose your right.

rock-bottom-cena.jpg

Worst: That’s It? or “Jesus Christ said:
The very worst part of this was the ending, where Rock makes Cena eat boos for five minutes and Cena basically writes “when I turn around I want you to Rock Bottom me” on a Post-It and sticks it to Rock’s forehead. I wanted so badly, for just a moment, for Cena to get as mad as me about this. For one goddamn second I wanted him to stop being polite and smack this dude in the face. Stand up for that whole “you left, I’m always here, I stand by the people who support me” thing. Smack him in his face. Punch him, whatever. You tossed Being A Star out the window years ago, just STF him until he passes out from blood loss and leave the ring. Flip out, tear up some stuff. Kick the ring steps, toss somebody into a barricade. Scream. Make that little ejaculate of spit pop out of your mouth again. Just be pissed the f**k off about what’s happening because Fast And God Damned Furious Guy is physically illustrating your waning popularity and making you look at it.

And no, Cena doesn’t need to turn heel. He’s already the biggest and best heel you’ve got. It would not, however, kill him to take this seriously for a minute and use some of that punching and shoulderblocking he loves so much for a good damn reason. F**king f**k him up, John. DO IT.

If Cena eventually does a "Get Mad" at the Rock, it will only be a temp one, like when HBK went heel on Hogan for their feud, but fell back into a face straight afterwards. I'd honestly be happy with that though,

I think that post gets at why I don't like Cena. He doesn't get mad at things. The closest he gets is serious-face Cena. If I was Cena, I'd be pissed at The Rock after last night. But he'll probably joke about the Rock Bottom and congratulate The Rock on his win last night.

Now that I think about it more, it kind of makes sense. I mean, he brought this on himself. Why did he *storyline* choose to have The Rock as his partner?

I wounder what Cener will do tonight after the rock made him look like a little bitch at the PPV.

cant go after the title just yet.

feud with Miz/truth some more?

Make fun of rocky because he isnt there?

Does anybody know of any recent articles about the past CM Punk vs. John Cena storyline, more specifically the last few weeks leading up to MITB? I'm writing an essay on cultural theory about the feud, and I'm looking for some stuff to back up my arguments. I'm also writing about racism in the industry, more so about the lack of African-American WWE Champions, and just how they're sometimes used (Cryme Tyme for example).

Any help would be appreciated.

All I can say is, I'm jealous you get to write about WWE for a paper. Though I've written research projects on the television series 24 (specifically the amount of violence against women in them) and more recently, science fiction novels (filling up a $1500 budget with classic and current novels).

Lmao, yeah, it's pretty cool, but difficult at the same time, especially when I'm supposed to find a resource on the CM Punk vs. John Cena feud.

Does it have to be a credible source (IE a newspaper, magazine, periodical, etc.) or can it be a dirt sheet? I imagine something like Figure Four Online would have you covered.

Seconding the Grantland suggestion

HBK getting mad and being heel was hilarious and worked great. On the other hand, Hogan couldn't do much to counter what HBK can do and was doing in his promos. The Rock can destroy Cena or anything he tries.

This is kinda why I wish it was The Rock vs Orton. We'd get the Legend Killer back.

CM Punk talks shit about The Rock's backstage behavior to the New York Daily News:
This is the same man who kept whining about HHH, and weeks later is wearing his blazer and playing buddy with him. Just another ass kisser.

^ Orton can't work the mic, so that also wouldn't be very thrilling.

Speaking to WWE Magazine, The Rock addresses his critics within WWE, or rather, two particular “insecure and jealous” Superstars. They ask the multi-time champion, “Some guys in the locker room aren’t too happy with your return. Do you feel you need to earn their respect, or do you feel they need to earn your respect?”

The Great One responds, “Of course, a few guys have been very vocal about their unhappiness with me coming back. It doesn’t bother me at all. It just proves that they lack perspective.

“Returning to WWE is an incredible opportunity for me. But much bigger than me, it’s an incredible opportunity for the business and, at the end of the day, all we want to do is elevate WWE to new heights never seen before and make the fans happy. For example, when Hulk Hogan returned to WWE, I loved it, because I knew it was going to be incredible for the business. We made history together and made millions and millions of fans happy.

“Always remember that the ones who were vocal and disapproving about me coming back—and we all know who the two are—are the ones who are most insecure and jealous. Maybe one day they’ll smarten up and understand the greater perspective.”

Punk and?

Hulk actually did angles when he returned instead of appearing on RAW to do a motivational speech full of catchphrases every now and then.

Yeah, it would have to be something credible.

Also, thanks everybody for the help.

The Grantland stuff might work because it is linked from ESPN when you search for CM Punk there. You also might find some of Punk's media interviews from that time period too.

Here are a few things I found from the Chicago Sun-Times

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/cowl...e-star-cm-punk-in-the-interrogation-room.html

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/6144186-419/punks-exit-is-bad-newsfor-wwe.html

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/7185757-419/john-cenas-critics-can-shut-up-now.html

Pro Tip: Chicago papers would be huge for this, plus probably Boston news papers (Cena's hometown.)

Thanks for the Grantland stuff, guys, this stuff is gold. I'll let you guys know my mark when I get it back.

Edit: Also, thanks for Sun Times articles, sandman

Incase anyone is interested, Amazon has the Money in the Bank DVD for $10.99.

I really wish they came out with the Blu-Ray. I almost never buy wrestling DVD's because most of the stuff I'm interested in I can find online, but I was actually buying the WWE PPV Blu-Rays all the up until they quit releasing them in the US earlier this year. :(

This will have you covered, at least for the CM Punk vs Cena match.

and if Del Rio winning MITB is on there, Daniel Bryan winning it has to be there too.......right?
