It's still pretty sad that those stories aren't cover material because of American culture.
If the cover makes someone who is not usually attracted to international stories buy your magazine and they are still exposed to the story, how is that bad?
And the aunt image is amazing too.

Haha, oh Justin.
I know I'm LTTP but it totally reminds me of this awesome set of Japanese clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-nF01ZYHZE
So you are not allowed to throw up on those? What if I feel sick?
Pink underwear?? Ew. I bet it was a gift from his girlfriend. Gotta be.
Also, pull your goddamn pants kid!
Why do people post these as some kind of revelation? Time's international business offices share a lot more content and almost always have the same cover story, whereas the US rarely shares content and cover stories with the international offices. You're just picking specific instances where the international news focuses on current events and the US news focuses on less high-brow matters. You can just as easily do the same in reverseFunny...but sad

I beg to differ, this was the second or third result I saw.Well, yes, but if you click here http://www.time.com/time/magazine and then browse backwards, the 'controversial' topics shown in E/A/SP are not published in the US one and the moronic US ones are never published in other places. You won't see Europe claiming the debt problem is good for anyone.
WHAT A SURPRISE! People are cherry picking things to shit on the US.
I've seen this pop up on tumblr a lot recently. I'm kind of baffled that people somehow consider this evidence that Time has to dumb down their content for the US.Why do people post these as some kind of revelation? [Superintendant Chalmers sees Principal Skinner's kitchen on fire]
Superintendant Chalmers: Good Lord, what is happening in there?
Principal Skinner: The Aurora Borealis?
Superintendant Chalmers: The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
Principal Skinner: Yes.
Superintendant Chalmers: May I see it?
Principal Skinner: No.
It's just part of the Times masterplan to get the rest of the world depressed.I've seen this pop up on tumblr a lot recently. I'm kind of baffled that people somehow consider this evidence that Time has to dumb down their content for the US.
