G-Fex reminds me of the miz when he was the host of smackdown... only he is the host of wrasslgaf.

I hated the Miz when he hosted smackdown.

What is your opinion on "good" finishing moves?

A good finishing move is something that believably knocks the wind out of your opponent or otherwise disorientates them for the duration of the three count. If you're going to have a submission finisher, it needs to allow for as little movement as possible, or at least it should cause the opponent to wear out trying to escape.

no one is using the Rings of Saturn. Someone needs to jank that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Q-0PeEu6A#t=2m07s

Another reason I love the move is that Stan's lariat was really well protected too, which is something you don't see that often nowadays. No one kicked out of the lariat for years and years, even the top guys like Baba & Jumbo when Stan first came to AJPW, but when Misawa and Kobashi kicked out of it in the 90's it really propelled them to the top of the pile because the fans believed so much in the lariat being a devastating, match ending move.

But AJPW and Stan understood that he could lose and still look strong as long as the lariat was strong. If he was pinned (which was fairly rare in itself, as most of his losses were via DQ or his tag partner, like DiBiase, getting pinned), no matter, because in the next match he might hit his lariat and it'd be all over. And in the end, they used the lariat to break mid-card wrestlers into the main event, whereas you compare that to the AA or RKO, and it's only ever kicked out of by wrestlers perceived at around the same level as Orton & Cena, wrestlers who are already in the main event.

Also, by that criteria, I think the following are my favorite finishers:

F5: spins the opponent around and delivers a full frontal impact, causing disorientation and damage

Shooting Star Press: opponent is usually already semi-out of it and the full force the your body coming down on them finishes the job

Styles Clash: full frontal impact with additional disorientation when the move is rolled into a pinfall.

I love Wade Barrett, but Wasteland is the worst, non-joke finisher in the WWE right now. I like the Rough Ryder, I don't know why you all are crapping on it.

Skull Crushing Finale is another terrible finisher. Especially when they put their hands in front of their faces as they hit the floor. Terrible.

Miz right now is terrible. He's trying too hard.

It's a fucking legdrop that only Dolph Ziggler can sell.

He really needs to change his gimmick and stop talking about how awesome he's not.

i wasnt watching wrestling during the Batista era. Did I miss much?

He definitely had his moments, particularly towards the end of his run with WWE.

Batista Bite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BZzggdGw9I

Spotlight Batista towards the end was great. Failed World Champ Batista sucked. How many times did we see Batista get another title shot he didn't earn?

The build to Batista turning on Evolution and facing HHH for the title at WM was great. Loved the *thumbs up, smiling...thumbs down, stare* and then going nuts on Haitch ep of Raw.

Yeah, we don't get moves like Stan Hansen's lariat every day.

Steenalizer is ridiculous. Well, pretty much everything Kevin Steen does gets me to wince.

I don't remember which was first, but wasn't Batista just a repeat of Orton's Evolution turn?

Evolution turned on Orton when he beat Benoit for the title at...Summerslam? I think. Haitch was giving Orton the thumbs up while they were celebrating and Orton was on Batista's shoulders, then HHH did the the thumbs down and they beat the shit out of him and kicked him out of the group. Batista's turn was essentially doing to HHH what HHH did to Orton.

I miss Tajiri so much. I honestly think he could have been a credible upper card guy. Even though he was small, he still looked tough, and his kicks were amazing.

He was a highlight for me during the real ECW's late 90's run. God I loved watching him and Super Crazy go at it on PPV it was such a joy.

Speaking of lariats, anyone else notice the sick clothesline Mark Henry did when Bryan was straddled on the top rope? It brought back memories of Nigel McGuinness.

Hey now! The Skull Crushing Finale has been my personal CAW's finisher of choice since Wrestlemania 2000. >:[
