Because of REYN TIME! For all its imperfections, the NoE dub is endearing.
I dunno, I think Xenoblade has one of the finest dubs I've ever heard.

Operation Rainfall was more successful than all of the Occupy stuff combined... wow.RE: OpRainfall....
Looking back over this year, isn't it kind of amazing that Nintendo fans had their own Arab Spring or Occupy Wall Street?![]()
What is this Operation Rainfall you kids are spouting about?
JP version has Wakamoto. Why would you listen to anything else?
I've seen a lot of poorly organized "Please Bring This Game to the States" movements that ended in failure due to immaturity and overall naiveness from those in charge.
Operation Rainfall was not like that. I've followed their campaign closely form the beginning and they approached the situation in a mature and professional manner. Bravo.
I actually really liked the battle banter, made it really feel like a cohesive team, even if they all only had like 10 lines each. The Japanese battle banter is even more annoying then the English banter.
NOA knew they couldn't coast 9-10 months without a big Wii title till Wii-U arrived. Maybe they are not THAT dumb after all...
You can buy it from Nintendo's site as well.
Yeah. But I live in Japan. I doubt they'd ship there. At least with Amazon I know they'll ship here.
Of course they fucking knew that.
I can't believe you people thought it would never come. This ain't no captain rainbow.

What's the difference between this and Disaster then?
No they won't.
FEEL the FLOW of BATTLE!Dunban never says that.
It probably won't be if it does well enough... But being better safe than sorry makes that more likely! Getting the import for Christmas (I think it shipped YESTERDAY hilariously enough) but I'd still like to have this for Wii U.This game is going to be much more rare than Metroid Prime Trilogy and every major retailer carried that game. I need to get Xenoblade day one.
FEEL the FLOW of BATTLE!
Hah! True that! XDIronically, their motto would be so fitting considering how the game is getting to America.
I hope we won't see Gamestop's logos all over the box, I'd be pissed.

As charming as they became, the constantly repeated vocal samples (AIR SLASH! RIKI SNEAKY!) gave me a new appreciation for RPGs that don't have their characters yell out move names. Can you imagine how infuriating World of Warcraft would be if your Mage yelled "FIREBALL" every time you hit the 1 key?
Although I'd love it to be this amazing success that makes NoA rethink how they approach these games, doing enough to justify bringing out would probably be enough to guarantee other Monolith games as well as Last Story, or so I'd think.Good thing I waited. Hope that it gets at least decent sales, especially with the outcry for this release. If it totally bombas... well, let's hope it doesn't have that outcome.
It will bomba, it's a niche market for a game on a dying system, so savor this while u can

Zelda SS did pretty well considering that the Wii is a "dying" system. It also greatly beat NOE's sales expectations, resulting in mass shortages...
Here's a question:
Which is the better RPG. Skyrim or Xenoblade?
I tried... too much talking, too many NPCs. I like my games straight gameplay, I don't mind a few NPCs with one-liners, but I prefer the old Dragon Warrior, FF games up to VII(it was the beginning of RPG fluff though - too much story), I like DQVIII, and a few others.
Shulk, Dunban and Riki sound specially annoying in Japanese.

Not into RPGs, and I would've vastly preferred Reginleiv, Pandora's Tower, or Fire Emblem DS 2. That said, congrats to the Rainfall people. Organizing a massive pre-order campaign to show financial commitment to a title was pretty smart.
Nintendo of Europe probably miscalculated by assuming only Europeans would buy it. Then Americans imported, so it's only fair that Europeans return the favor and import the American version to assure its success.
RPGCrazied preordered it online and was freaking out that it would never arrive and people were poking fun, so another person sold them a copy in the States. Then his UK copy arrived. lol
I have this suspicion it's coming out PARTIALLY due to GameStop, like they worked out an arrangement to partially fund production and whatnot if they were the only ones (along with Nintendo themselves) to sell it. Or a lot of other retailers like Walmart didn't want to carry it AT ALL so GameStop pursued exclusivity as a result, realizing there was demand afterall.Although, speaking of that pre-order campaign, Nintendo is being pretty stupid by not selling it on Amazon (where people have already put their pre-orders in for purchase!)
So in all honesty what separates this game from other jrpgs?
