It's something made by a couple of grad students ( IIRC ) from harvard, we used them in one of the physics courses we had and they were proudly showing them off during our lectures. Don't have a link though.

It's really weird. On one hand I feel bad if I don't hold the door for someone who is approaching it; on the other hand I feel awful when I see that the person I'm holding door for suddenly starts to walk faster or even run (especially when they hold their shoppings or something). It's like, no matter what you do you'll always end up being a dick

I usually adjust my walking pace when I get near doors so that I'm either too far away or close enough to hold the door. I do a lot of small things like that to avoid awkward situations in public.
