Great game, nice to see the save function working in a pretty much worst-case scenario.

I don't know, I'd suspect bias given your avatar I need an independent source.
Well, I'm having difficulty thinking of a damage-centric glass cannon hero with less than two active skills. Skeleton King has one, but he isn't even remotely made of glass. Going to be hard finding a more suitable "right click and kill people" hero with the criteria you've given. But really, any carry is a bad choice if you value ease of play highly.

maybe razor, or skeleton king? i think they are easy to play, dont' know if they'll ruin anyones day though

nonono, screw easy, I want the character that just makes people want to uninstall the game. That's where I am right now so I just want to deflect the saltiness and make others as miserable. Scratch the easy to play part, I'll dedicate my life to the game if it means someone is going to cry.

I would say Anti-Mage, but AM doesn't make people rage-uninstall, it just makes people rage-dismiss the game, as if it didn't really actually count, because "AM is OP/EZ" etc.

You definitely need a good carry, I think.

Or a good troll. Nature's Prophet? Get the scepter, use ult at every opportunity. Boss.

Anti-Mage
Furion

In pubs invi units do induce a lot of rage.

Also if you want people rage / want to uninstall the game just suck and make them rage that way >_>

Watch enemy picks carefully.

Look for mana-hungry heroes who can't spam AOE spells, or lack of heroes with AOE.

Pick Broodmother.

GUYS AM I GOOD YET

EDIT: Don't max incapitating bite early and don't get a helm of the dominator like Sanjay.

How to improve your chances of winning solo pubs:
1. Play support: courier, warding, letting your carry farm. I like Crystal Maiden and Dazzle

2. Play a ganker: facilitate ganks, make the other team's carry afraid to farm, help ward, buy time for your carries to farm. AOE heroes like Sand King, Venomancer, Puck are great. Despite being a agility hero Mirana is an amazing ganker.

3. Solo middle: hardest of the three. Do this if you're confident in your 1v1 abilities. Knowing when to gank/not gank is a skill you will develop over time. Plus this can be challenging if your team doesn't buy courier or ward.

Because of the way solo pubs work with rare support picks, the lack of wards and courier will make it tough to win the game of solo pubs with the traditional "carry" heroes. I don't recommend picking carries like Antimage or Void to people that want to win when you're solo pubbing. Chances are half your team will probably be carries already so it's better to pick the roles your team needs most.

Nah, Pick AM and buy your own wards, farm it up and win the game, don't trust other people to carry, even if you play support and ward, pull the lane, put pressure on enemy carry, the guy may suck at farming and will have nothing to show for their Free Farm.

Better to just pick a carry and be self sufficient. Or play Sand King and setup godlike initiations.

Completely disagree with the first, as a Support if you're in a game with bad players you'll be wasting your time, wards are useless if people don't actually look at the minimap. Agree with 2 and 3 though, solomid gives you the best chance at winning in matchmaking if you're competent at it.

Coming from HON I have a real issue with how passive everyone is. It's like people don't think you can win a game in under half an hour - we have had teams of strong pushers who would rather sit and farm to become a complete heroes and get to end game. Is anyone else playing this coming from HON who is experiencing similar issues with the attitude of players? It's really frustrating!

Bounty Hunter.

Is he in yet? Fuck that guy.

I think the problem with antimage is the spellshield more than anything else. If he didn't survive everybody nuking him then he wouldn't be a problem. No other carry can survive as many nukes as him and then just jump away after there are no disables left. Maybe if it were something like pugna's death ward or something, instead of making him really tanky early on, it would give a little bite back on those ganks. Or maybe taking more mana from anybody that casts a spell on him. (though both of those could end up making him even stronger late game once he gets his heart.)

Check the Tobi-Wan justin.tv page, should be a VoD there

(tobi doesn't even use justin.tv sillymans)

Ooh ok, then go with what Archie said.

Teehee indeed.

Honestly my problem with that is while hon players play agressive, they build defensive, and while dota players play defensive, they build agressive. I see mirana players from hon that play agressive and do well all of the sudden go OK I'M AHEAD LETS GO LINKENS.

So boring. Buy a fucking manta and murder people. Same with a bunch of other characters as well.

I suppose it's planning for the worst case scenario - if you play aggressive you need the items to back you up in case shit hits the fan. The problem I have is carries sitting in lanes for 30 mins farming up pro items when the game could be long over if they just played a little more offensively.

Building Linkens when your ahead isn't necessarily a bad thing, it allows you to play more aggressively in a fight without having to worry about eating a disable, also let's you farm a bit easier cause of the mana regen. Same thing with Queen of Pain buying Linkens so she can blink in without fear of instantly getting blown up. Offense through Defense.

His spell-shield should not be a passive, it should be a activated buff on his blink for a duration. That's what they did with him in HoN but hes still one of the hardest carry in HoN too and that's because of his manaburn skill. That's what makes him so strong if you ask me and that skill works with Manta Style too which does not help at all.

To balance him I would change his Manaburn to some thing lower like:-

Mana per Hit: 10/15/20/30

And make it so manaburn does not work with illusions.

If they changed his orb on illusions they'd have to change /everyones/ orb on illusions. Suddenly no one buys a manta anymore.

You don't have to, just add a tool tip. Superior orb, does not work on illusions. They have magic and superior magic. Time to have superior orbs.

I know WHY they do it. ITS STILL BORING AND LAME. Also you will never see it on a good dota mirana.

Sadly, the first role doesn't work when the team is failing as a whole. A good, balanced team needs one or two supporters, but it requires competent players taking off after a rocky early phase where you prevent the enemy team from ganking your carries.

The best way to win publics is to win them early and win them hard. Crush your enemies in all the lanes. The best way to do this is to pick a ganker, go 1v1 mid, make sure you get the runes and then proceed to succesfully gank the sidelanes. QOP or Tiny are especially suited for this.

Behind that, initiation is a hard role that's extremely vital. A team having 2 daggers where the other team has zero is a huge advantage for your team (notwithstanding natural initiation heroes like Clockwerk and to a lesser extend Puck, Warlock or Tidehunter). Dictating where you fight and on who's terms is invaluable, but it does require having solid vision of the map to shine.

I fucking love Clockwerk! By far my favorite hero in Dota2.
Hookshot with Aga is so amazing. <3

My most played hero in the beta, 33-5 with him at the moment. I play him solo on the long lane when we have a trilane with one in woods. I just try to leech xp and farm some with rockets until I feel like I have enough to go and gank other lanes. This works pretty well in most of my games.

This is what amazes me about DOTA2, the voice acting. HoN and LoL have like 30 seconds each of VA for each hero, DOTA2 has an adverage of 15 minutes.

The Secret Shop guy really needs somes lines.
He could use some animations too. So weird to see him standing like a statue there after the Dota 2 reveal.

When you're ahead and you're ganking effectively, I would build defensively. You're ahead in levels, which means you have more stats, higher leveled skills, and more items. Building glass cannons gives the opposing team an avenue to come back with well timed initiation or disables, but if they can't kill you while you're tooling on them, you win the game.

Linken's on Mirana is a perfect ganking item, hp/mana regen for roaming, blocks a spell to give you big advantages in non-5v5 confrontations, and gives you stats to support your autos, hp pool, and mana pool.

Inactivated Europe on search filter. Too many goddamn Russians that either can't or simply won't speak or write in English making communication such a fucking hassle. US East ftw :I

It's a little funny that Russia shows up so often in people's complaints. Is this the equivalent of BR HUEHEUHUE in League of Legends? =P

Not sure what that is? :P

They seem to make up such a large number of the beta player base that I hope they make a separate Russian server at launch. I think World of Warcraft has it so maybe take a note from Blizzard, Valve?

However, I will say that people that try to force Russians that can't speak English to do so are quite the assholes, had a very awkward game just now were a guy kept berating two Russians for not doing so. Serves no point since all you'll get are incomprehensible phrases and a lot of angry sounding Russian chatter :P

People used to complain a lot about Brazilian players. The normal joke (back when Mordekaiser was good) was that Brazilian players always said MORDE ES #1 HUEHUEHUE, there were a lot of them, they were in general bad team players, and of course people couldn't understand them and they wouldn't speak English.

It's an unfair generalization of course, but Brazil was the only region that people seemed to complain about, so the Russian thing reminded me of it.

I tried out Death Prophet in a GAF inhouse I was in today. My kill ratio was not so hot, even for a support (I think I was 1/9/5 or something like that). I gotta learn to not get myself in bad situations, especially when I think I can handle it, when I really can't.
