Dota 2 Beta Thread: [Brewmaster]

It was my first time playing him, I was still trying to get the hang of him. Besides, I thought everyone thinks Skeleton King is the easiest hero in the game, I have yet to play him though.
In a group fight where millisecond desicions are made you expect someone to click 5 enemy heroes to see whos the lowest mana?
Your talking about a broken mechanic that wasn't in Warcraft 3 that transfered over to DOTA 2.
Anti-Mage is really easy. You are only casting one thing offensively. Just watch who is casting spells or know who is a mana hungry champ and ult appropriately.
However I would prefer if Dota 2 had mana bars for other reasons. The information is available, just presented in an unintuitive manner. There isn't much of a point to not having enemy mana bars on display.

The Dota community has largely been abrasive to people coming in from other games in the genre, stuff like that just tends to really annoy me. Didn't realize you were just joking, but whenever other MOBA games are brought up around Dota 2 veterans tend to be demeaning about them. I've had people in game yell at me over mic that if I want to farm I should go play League of Legends.
My biggest issue with the UI right now is that you lose focus of your info bar when clicking other things. You should always have your information available and when you click an enemy or allied hero, a miniature version of their info bar should pop up in a corner ala LoL and HoN.
Fair enough, maybe he is harder than Drow Ranger. I've just played him more than I've played Drow Ranger.
Tide isn't too far away though. Blink + Ulti and go for a smoke while your team fights.
if you're new to dota, skeleton king and drow are not easy. hell, drow isn't even easy if you've gotten familiar with dota, she's squishy, has no escape mechanism, and her attack animation is pretty slow until you get a level of her ultimate and treads. these are easy heroes if you're at least average at dota, because they just emphasize last hitting and efficiency, which is one of the last things new players get a handle on. generally speaking, skeleton is easy than drow though. he has a stun, requires less items to be scary, decent attack animation, and even has a reincarnate to boot. good luck hitting the typical carry creep score benchmarks on drow if you're a new player though.

Holy shit this game is the gathering ground for the frustrated youth, as soon as the game started one angry motherfucking badass started dissing our team with all kinds of names. We won like 50-20 and completely steamrolled so he began dissing how we stole all his kills 
It's almost unbearable to be stuck with these kind of aggressive assholes for a good 50 minutes, he was the worst of our team(and naturally took the aegis from rosh) and constantly bitching about everything. "Zomggg lich ulti steelin my killz go hang ureself"

honestly, half of what makes wodota great is the song. if you took out that guy's voice in the LoL video and just looped we are electric, it would instantly be 500% more awesome.

Goad me about what? That I called Dota's Heroes "champs"? That I play other MOBAs? I'm not worked up in any way, I'm just expressing how utterly unpleasant the Dota 2 community is even compared to other MOBAs. Guess how much you're changing my mind.
That channel has gained a lot of attention, so they push out more and more videos because they get lots of views. People don't send them enough replays though, so the content just isn't there to support how many videos they make.

Not really, I was looking at a lot of wallpaper recently (partly due to Haly's pixiv thread) and noticed that I like pictures where there is some sort of scenario. You'd ask the viewer to guess at what happened before the picture was taken, and speculate on what could happen afterwards. The 3 characters with masks should be stylized to bank on how iconic each one is per hero. Add a hint of sexual tension and you've got a great wallpaper.
SK vs Problem?? should start as soon as the servers are back to normal
Also, malaysia dota2 tournament is this weekend. Don't expect teams like navi, m5 or sk to be there because all teams are asian.

You have to play this game with at least a couple of people who you know and like. And make sure they are RTS oriented people, don't go down to your local frat house and pick up your dudebro CoD playing friends.
