2012 is going to be a great year indeed for Naruto. I guess it was expected since Infinite Tsukiyomi plot has to be drawing to an end soon. Oh well I can only hope more Sasuke means more involvement of Suigetsu as well.

It really doesn't get much worse than the start of this war arc was. I know you want to tell me the Itachi pursuit arc was worse, but at least that had a good fight in it.

Seriously? That cant be true, Sasuke v Itachi was one of the highest highlights in the series as well as the naruto sasuke post danzo fight dialogue, unless one doesnt think that highly of the series, and it was exciting having him for two pages this arc. I seriously cant be the only sasuke fan on here.

Naruto vs Pain was incredbile for the first half of it. Then it became a pussyfooting around TnJ fest. I'm not even joking here.
The other fights are as you said, mini fights. Naruto vs Orochimaru was one of the best in all of part 2, but he wasn't conscious of that so it wasn't a time where we could see what Naruto learned post time skip and then be like "wow Naruto is fucking awesome." Naruto vs Sasuke wasn't a fight. Neither was Naruto vs Itachi. If we're counting skirmishes as fight, may as well say Shino had a fight against Tobi as well for attempting to trap him with bugs.
Sasuke on the other hand was a boss.
-Murked Orochimaru (RIP)
-Full fight against Deidara (to the DEATH)
-Full fight against Itachi (TO THE DEATH),
-Good fight against Bee (when Bee was a boss on his own and kicked Sauce's ass)
-Great skirmish against Raikage
-Shenanigans at the Kage summit (directly after fight with Raikage...Like a boss)
-Full fight against Danzo (TO THE DEATH)
Really, up until the war, Naruto's "fights" couldn't compare. It's sad, really.
The only thing that makes sense in that entire panel is the dude in the bottom right. Swipe attack, resets hand positions. Everything else makes me feel like the manga is insulting me.

These are guys that can beat down tanks barehanded you don't really need a detailed fight scene to show that they are wrecking face amongst fodder. One panel, good guy team sending groups of baddie henchman flying, done.
The first half alone pretty much eclipses every other Naruto fight in the series so I don't really get you point. I mean its my opinion *fucking opinions* but damn I just love that fight to death. Naruto's spectacular entrance, the owning of the 5 paths of Pain by himself (fucking Kakashi couldn't even take on one) the return of the RasenShuriken. Middle parts were ok, I really liked 6TK's fight vs Pein. The 2nd half was pretty cool, and Naruto finishing off Pain with the Multshadow Clone jutsu + Rasengan feint was the sex.
Can't disagree. Its fucking bullshit how Naruto had no control over his 4TK form. Skirmishes are skirmishes :9

-Sasuke still had to resort to summoning Manda and getting the fuck of there. Still a wins a win.
-Itachi was holding back and dying from a disease. It wasn't even a "real" fight at least not for Itachi. His main goal was to force Orochimaru out of Sasuke's body lol.
-Sasuke got trolled. He lost, not once. Not twice. But THREE TIMES. He had to be healed by Karin (x2) and Jugo. And everything he attempted (Genjutsu, Chidori, Close combat) got countered by Killer Bee. It wasn't even close.
-Eh, Sasuke was fucking stupid to pick a fight with Raikage and the Raikage would have killed him (and died himself) were it not for Gaara.
-I'll agree here, he fucked up Danzo.
Again, fucking opinions. I'll take Naruto's magnificent fight against Pein VS Sasuke's dozen or so failed fights. Though the war arc makes this moot.

I know I'm on NeoGAF and that I'm "biased" when I say this, but a manga can never go wrong with a video game parody chapter. Well...maybe Dragon Quest, simply because it's been done over and over, but otherwise it's a guaranteed way to put a smile on a readers face IMO. Hell, it doesn't even have to be comedy focused (Hunter X Hunter).
The only thing missing from this chapter were Switch and Himeko appearing in the game. Definitely enjoyed the ending.

Yea but at least make it somewhat not stupid. They just had detailed panels showing single punches on enemies. Now the god fist is gliding on his tippy toes, Sakaki must be using some ball & chain weapon stuffed with TNT which attacks backwards, the princess (who has legs shorter then her arms) is just pointing at nothing, dude in the middle sitting down playing Othello next to the dude with an oboe...ughhhh. And I can not unsee the silhouette or some RPG mid-boss in the hole in the wall. The hole in the wall with those weird magnetic magic rocks around it...
I totally get that the scene is just supposed to imply shit is going down and to be like "OH MAN THAT SO CRAZY!" For me, it is just annoying cause I try to make sense of action panels.

What? Not at all. The Pain fight really wasn't that great. I think it was an effect of not seeing Naruto get a proper fight up until all that time. then to finally see him get one...it was like a drop of water in a desert.

All of these things you're saying are either just problems with Kishimoto's characterization of Sasuke and the implementation of Sasuke's character when it comes to action and motives or your views on the fight based on the outcome. I am not worried about who won these fights. The end result was the same - an entertaining portrayal of a semi-broken character (who is broken for no reason!), there was really no need for him to get a full fight against Deidara!PK Gaming said:
