I saw a video from a french team of journalist coming in a elementary school with vintage equipements and asked the kids if they knew what it was. It blew my mind when it comes to the floappy disk and the kids had no clue about the thing. One was even like " oh, it's a camera " because he could open and close the " shutter " and see the " film " inside. Cute but terrifying at the same time.

99% of people under 20 have probably never owned or seen a vinyl record in person. Most of them know what it is though, so it's not a requirement to have used something to know what it is.
