I saw a video from a french team of journalist coming in a elementary school with vintage equipements and asked the kids if they knew what it was. It blew my mind when it comes to the floappy disk and the kids had no clue about the thing. One was even like " oh, it's a camera " because he could open and close the " shutter " and see the " film " inside. Cute but terrifying at the same time.

Haha, when I saw the movie for the first time a few months ago I wondered the same thing.

Even though it's obvious dentists are paid off for BS like this, it can still make sense.

Let's assume they go around asking dentists to list the top 5 toothpaste brands they'd recommend. Colgate shows up at #1 most of the time, Sensodyne shows up on 9 out of 10 lists, and Oral B is the one dentists use personally because it's cheapest and/or they get tons of it for free from the company.

I wonder what those kids think of when they see the "save button", which usually is represented by an icon of a diskette. For us the connection is obvious - we used to save our stuff on floppy disks, but for them it's just an icon of a strange object.
