I've seen the trailer and I'm familiar with Hathaway's filmography. She's far too young for the part and not one iota of her presence exudes what Catwoman is supposed to be. The other poster is right--Nolan is terrible at casting women.

You are basing Catwoman on what you think of Catwoman, not what she's like in the movie. That would be like saying "Tom Hardy isn't right for Bane, he's not Hispanic or 8 feet tall and 500 lbs"
I thought she looked and sounded great in the trailer and prologue, especially the shot of her riding in the prison bus. Then I stop there because we literally only have 5 secs total of her performance.

Agreed. I'd go even further and say the line is corny as fuck, but her delivery makes it. And again, I don't even like Hathaway.
EDIT: Still think you're being pretty hyperbolic by saing Nolan has no idea what he's doing. But, I agree with Eva Green. She's who I was hoping for when all the casting rumors were flying.
The best comic book movie trilogy(so far) we have seen has shown he does in fact know what he is doing.

I was talking about female casting in the Batman movies.
While I agree, they are not the focus, so he can get away with it. I highly doubt Selina will be a huge part of the movie, and Catwoman i suspect will have as much screen time as two face did in TDK, or at least I hope so.
Hathaway really annoys me besides Love and Other Drugs, I've hated her on screen she like Julia Roberts 2.0

Watts and Green would have been so awesome. And this is a minority opinion for sure but I can't stand Marion Cotillard's English roles. She was annoying as shit in Public Enemies and Inception imo.

If they were going to go younger then Eva Green or Emily Blunt would have been the best two choices. I don't think of Catwoman as younger than Batman, however. Never have. I'll withhold judgement, but if Batman is attracted romantically to an Anne Hathaway Catwoman I will never buy that under any circumstance. I think that's why he should have made Catwoman a peer instead.
