Apparently the whole thing with leaving the stickers on the cap is to help create the illusion that it was stolen from the store and therefore cooler? Can anyone confirm? Fucking kids today.

I think it has more to do with the fact they so cash they always have new hats (ergo the straight bill and sticker). Of course no one told them that people who are so cash don't wear baseball caps.

It's to prove that it's not a fake
Never understood this mentality either. Even when I was a kid you got grief if you weren't wearing authentic versions of all the youth-approved brands - in my day it was Sergio Tacchini, LOL. Anyway, wouldn't it be cooler to wear an underground knock-off than the authentic version where you're giving all the money to THE MAN?

She looks very familiair though. I think I've seen her on a TV copshow. Hawaii 5-0 or something like that.

Aaah, I miss the days of going down the market and getting two fake tops for a tenner.

Why would you need to prove that in the first place?

because if you have cash you don't buy fakes. it's a reputation thing. started with inner-city and spread from there I believe

Is there a certain brand that they look for or something?

Usually New Era

when is it ever cooler to wear a fake than the real thing? Again, all about the reputation that you have money

a fake replica of a 20$ hat? wat

usually over $35, but yeah still. I'm not saying it makes sense, that's just why

or they're just shiny, I don't know

Every hiphop artist and american athlete in the world would say otherwise.

Interesting.. What else do you not understand about young people, gary?

I think the sticker thing is to make the hats look newer and fresh, like you wear a new hat every day. I know guys that do that and pretty much stop wearing the hats as soon as they start to look broke in, even remotely.

Due to the recession, all hiphop artists have been advised to refer to Jeffersons rather than Benjamins and talk about how they keep the tags on their clothes so they can take them back to the store after using them. And they no longer have cash-money but just cash or money. Not both.
And it doesn't rain, it drizzles.

A friend of mine bought a hat in NYC that is just stickers.

You know the circular gold "New Era 59Fifty" thing they put on hats? The entire hat was designed to look like it was covered in stickers. Weird.

Well.... I mean.... believe it or not, kids are pretty stupid sometimes.... We are talking about the mentality of 15 year olds or so here, kids so young they dont even buy these things with their own money considering mom and dad are the ones raising them. So don't expect it to be deep or even reasonable.

There are different brands of sports team hat makers. The stickers prove you bought the most expensive brand I think.

I used to work in a hat store, and this bugged the shit out of me because New Era hats are not exactly expensive, nor are they hard to find.

I take those stickers off whenever there's an unattended hat. People get so pissed over something so trivial.

I use this. Best case ever(got the blue one).

I don't even smoke weed, it's just I grew up with family always using those film canisters to carry their weed/hasish in because it was convenient, could be sealed up, and if you toss it in camera bag nobody looks twice at it.

I should get that mushroom for my sister though
