NFL 2011 Week 17 |OT| It's Time To Shut Up, Fat Boy

Man, I just want this week's games to be over with so I know the early draft order. Man it sucks wishing for April in December. Going to keep an eye on Reiff at the Insight Bowl tomorrow. Wish we had a shot at Kalil.

Congrats to FMT, to taste the playoffs once more. Hopefully we'll bounce back in there next year. Actually, I think Cards and Niners both making playoffs each year would be pretty nice, would finally bring respectability to the NFC West. Not too many teams that would be more satisfying to go through on the way to the SB either.

thank you brother. i feel like i miss out with any division rivalry on gaf. there used to be my boy bakedpigeon but he disappeared. rams-age is so dejected and filled with self loathing that it's not even fun beating them. and seachickens age has like 2 people who never post in the thread (bluemax and the guy with the fred mcgriff avatar).

perhaps you can be my division rival in the coming years!

Seahawks gave you guys all you wanted. That was a very physical game. I still think the NFCW will never be a good rivalry division simply b/c it is so scattered geographically. The best the division ever had was the Chris Everett Rams/SF rivalry of the 80s, and that was still really one sided.

Hopefully after the LA situation settles they can realign the divisions a little

I think it's funny how St. Louis is in the "west" despite being several hundred miles farther to the east than Dallas which is in the "east". What St. Louis fan is going to fly out to Arizona, California, and Washington state that many times?

There's no rivalry on GAF because there's no rivalry in the NFC west. The teams are too shitty and fans too apathetic.

You want a rivalry? The NFL will build one out of Baltimore and SF. First, there's the Harbaughs, and that'll make ratings. Second, there's me and my overwhelming hatred of the Niners, of San Francisco, and fuck it, the whole state of California. This coast sucks smegma off of Alex Smith's balls.

Oh, and it's not Baltimore. FYI, Patrick Willis will never be the player Ray Lewis is.

oh i'm not saying we can't have competitive games within the division. i mean the cards beat us 3 or 4 weeks ago. my point is the rams, seachickens and cards aren't really represented here on gaf.

meanwhile, niners-age is perhaps the strongest age on here. maybe the only one that can take down packers age!

i just don't like drew brees. he comes off like a big phony and a douchebag. i know he does all these great things and donates money and saves kittens from being raped and all this other stuff but something about him just doesn't sit right with me.

and this has nothing to do with the color of his skin, let me say that right now!

I dont really get it either.
We arent even in the 49ers division anymore. the rivalry is pretty much dead.
Also did all the Brees detractors even watch the after-game locker room video of Brees speaking about the record? He pretty much pointed out everyone in the room and said it was because of them that he could even set the record. I dont know why you think he's phony when he clearly is an excellent leader and a stand-up guy. He works his fucking ass off to get where he is now against all kinds of criticism about his size and arm strength. He never takes credit when the team is doing well he always talks about it like a team effort, because it is. Maybe he's too goody goody for people, I dont know, but I think he gets an unffair amount of hatred just because the media slurps him. But they just slurp elite talent in general. Thats not Brees' fault.

Hey, sometimes you just don't like certain players. Like Wes Welker. Every interview I've seen with the guy makes me want to throttle him, but nobody ever has an unkind word to say about him. I really hate that little worm though.

every NFL player works their ass off. they wouldn't be in the nfl if they didn't. and most QB's deflect credit to their teammates. brady, manning, etc. maybe it was how douchey he was leading up to and during the lockout that made me hate him

The old NFCW had ATL and NO, so at least it is somewhat better. But right now, the AFC South and NFC West are the bastard divisions of the NFL. No real history and just a dumping ground for teams that don't fit.

Yeah I don't know what happened to him on here, maybe I scared him away when I gave him shit for saying the Cards would take Gabbert with the 5th pick. There is mysteriously a user named Baked Pigeon on the official cards forum that I suspect may be him. Talking rivalry shit will give me incentive to post more. I will fight the good fight for my Cards.

Steelers-Age is still easily larger than Niners Age and we took them down.

We'd take you guys down too but I doubt you'll be making it to the NFCCG.

Why they don't switch Indianapolis and Miami is absolutely beyond me. It makes perfect sense and also extends the rivalry between Indy and N.E.
