Anne of Green Gables 12
I hate to be pedantic, but a slight historical inaccuracy crept into this episode. Anne of Green Gables is set in 1878, just one year after Edison invented the phonograph, making it highly unlikely that a rural Canadian village would have been able to attain such a machine in such a short period of time. Moreover, the particular kind of phonograph shown during the picnic is a Graphophone, which didn't exist until 1886!
Trivia aside, this was another great episode. I have to compliment Marilla's voice actor; she plays the part of an old matron concealing a tender heart underneath her crusty exterior well. She helps make the drama believable.
