Anne of Green Gables 12

I hate to be pedantic, but a slight historical inaccuracy crept into this episode. Anne of Green Gables is set in 1878, just one year after Edison invented the phonograph, making it highly unlikely that a rural Canadian village would have been able to attain such a machine in such a short period of time. Moreover, the particular kind of phonograph shown during the picnic is a Graphophone, which didn't exist until 1886!

Trivia aside, this was another great episode. I have to compliment Marilla's voice actor; she plays the part of an old matron concealing a tender heart underneath her crusty exterior well. She helps make the drama believable.

Steins;Gate 01-02:

Girl gets stabbed. Girl no longer stabbed. Satellite, and Gel-bananas. A guy miko. A mysterious microwave. I'm confused. That's normal, right?

Okarin is pretty interesting as protagonists go. It's a damn good thing he is too, because otherwise I'm really lost. o_o;

Taro the Dragon Boy

A lazy fat boy can talk to animals and gets super strength by drinking alcohol that a strange old man gave him after a sumo match. There are also genitals, dragons, and demons.

The background work was beautiful, and the character animation was smooth and fluid. It was pretty enjoyable in a early Disney type of way.

As the cast learns what the hell they're doing, you'll learn what the hell they're doing. I feel like it was a case of deliberate obfuscation with that intro. Just keep watching, it all pays off. Watch for threads too.

Will do. I'm definitely intrigued to find out what's going on. ^^;

Something something they appear different to other people kinda like Clark Kent something something.

Somehow I completely doubt this. Anybody can tell who she is, she's not trying to hide it at all. Didn't Tuxedo Mask figure out her identity in the first episode? I guess not since he's an idiot too.

Ironically, it's not nearly as important in PGSM where they have an overt change in appearance.

But certain things don't happen in the anime either.

Yeah keep at it and don't make the same mistake I did. I watched the first episode back in the summer without paying too much attention, got lost, and for some reason I just didn't watch the rest till just this past week. It definitely clears up as it goes on and it's definitely worth it to keep watching :)

Okarin is just too awesome.

There's way too much moe/fanservice-focused stuff these days because they get the most DVD/blu-ray sales. I think once this popularity wanes (if it does) we'll get good stuff again. That's not to say there aren't those few gems every year even now, but i'd like to see an era where we can just get normal story/character driven content like in the past. The 90s and early to mid 00s were a great era for anime fans. Right now this industry looks hopeless but only time can tell.

Well I'm sure as hell buying it up so they got something right. Although for me it isnt a requirement (believe it or not!)

I love you. ;____;

Here, have an awesome Gakuen Kino pic

what is this?

Princess Tutu 07:

Why has nobody snitched this fella out? He certainly has the face of a pedo. Never mind the fact that cats have like barbed penises.

Tutu rediscovers her purpose and finds a new foe against her. The melodrama was up all the way to eleven too, but that seems to work in favour of the show considering its theatrical aspirations.

FYI my father watched this episode with me. He seemed to like it!
An anime adaptation of a fighting game?

I can't see it being good in any form.
This may be nostalgia speaking but Street Fighter II V was awesome.

It's from Gakuen Kino, a spinoff novel series where Sigsawa phones it in and goes total magical schoolgirl parody. From what little has been translated out there, it's brilliant, but I will probably never read it. ;______;

Well, she IS a duck and theres a sort of evolutionary response to duck- http://scienceblogs.com/notrocketsc...nd_corkscrew_vaginas_-_the_sexual_battles.php

Bakemonogatari 5

This arc was starting to feel monotonous - being in the same park setting for the majority of three episodes didn't help matters - but the climax and backstory made it worth it. This show can pull off some strong atmosphere when it wants to. (Last episode had a moment like that when Senjougahara got lost.) Hachikuji isn't a terribly interesting character save her propensity to violence, but she's not annoying either.
I'd have preferred that she vanished for good, but I'm OK with her staying around as long as she doesn't get too much screen time.

K-ON! 5

After a relatively lackluster beach episode, we're back to our normal pleasant watch. This episode was extremely silly and melodramatic, which occasionally went too far (Mio hiding in the corner gets used a little too often), but most of it was enjoyable thanks to strong direction. The lighting in particular was noteworthy; feast your eyes on this:

Freezing 5

One thing I like about this is how Satellizer's design is completely at odds with her personality. Everything about her looks screams "Oujo", but she's the silent shy type. Im Dal Young is a revolutionary!

Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere 13 (end)

Well that was an epic ending.
The scene with the rush to get the cargo ship docked on Musashi was great and the explosion so detailed. I loved the emotional intensity of the scene of the Armanent of Deadly Sin from Horizon
. I enjoyed it after the action packed previous four episodes. Definitely was a highlight anime of the last season and possibly year. I really liked the devotion to making the animation smooth and graphically impressive while delivering a great experience in sound for the scenes. Integrating the opening, Terminated, into the closing scenes of this episode worked wonders and brought about feelings of nostalgia. Plotwise, I think it set the stage for the next season greatly though
I hope we can get a rematch of Muneshige v Honda, as well get every fighter involved against the invading baseball players and gym team.
Overall the anime had an excellent balance of fight scenes and exposition to bring life to the world as well as deliver epically on battles. The music in the anime was amazing and made me wish the soundtrack was available. Often it felt like it would have made for an excellent RPG with the battle theme.

Favorite characters would be Noriki (with January, February, March) and his fight being one of the favorites, Kimi, Honda Masazumi (excellent non battle character), Honda Futayo with Slicing Dragonfly, Margot and Malga (twin witches were cool), and Neshinbara, the strategist, and Muneshige Tachibana (Tres Espana).

I hope next season gets 26 episodes. 8 / 10

What a great OP that show has. Such a beautiful show overall.

This feeling... of being bros... without salt. It's strangely refreshing.
I am also a huge fan of the ending. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sAqZGrT2xk

Street Fighter II The Animated Movie is pretty good. II V on the other hand.... yah... The best part of it is probably the music when used in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lBYMq8BNS0&t=4m12s

Okabe pretty much carries the show for the first third of it or so, which is good because it gives the audience something to latch on to before the show improves over time.

What you originally said is generally correct, but I believe this is more the truth of the matter.

Sailor Moon 10

Dear Queen Beryl Hitokage,

Gramps is awesome. Rei is a badass. Usagi is a crybaby.

There a bunch of interesting quirks to this episode.

Rei evidently likes hanging out
with the karasu, what in the world was up with that scene?

Usagi actually displays intelligence for once
using Moon Tiara Action as a trap mechanism instead of a direct attack, what the hell?

This was a great episode. Really interesting premise and the introduction of Rei. Ami did pretty much nothing thus far, while Rei actually manages to
defeat a youma and ridiculously easy at that! I thought Sailor Moon was the only one allowed to do that. Not only that but she’s interested in Tuxedo Kamen. NTR HIM AWAY FROM USAGI D:

She’s already my favorite, at least until I meet the rest perhaps.

One thing really confused me though about this episode.
At the end when Ami decides to Tebow and he opens up the giant hole in the sky, it was pitch black. When they all escape out the sun is up. Did half a day already pass and she’s just sitting on her knees the entire time?
That was just bizarre.

Yeah the ending theme is equally as good.
The show is kind of a new age Fushigi Yuugi or something. With more pink. Lots more pink.

Fine, how about it's easier to track someone down with a partial name then an alias?

What you originally said is generally correct, but I believe this is more the truth of the matter.

It really is. It's been a while since I've heard such effective voice work, and Miyano's usually great anyway. His changes in intonation while arguing with Kurisu killed me far too many times to count.

About to watch Un-Go ep 11 and the Anime Studio ad starts with think you can do better than the program ...

surely this bodes well for the quality for the finale and not a portent of things to come, right?

It would be like MAHVEL except Tutu's hyper would be swan lake.

Phobos and Diemos are her nakama.

One thing really confused me though about this episode.

He works in mysterious ways.

Hyped for Aqaurion Evol, I loved certain sectoins of Aquarion and while Apollo wasn't nearly as good as Ryoma he is certainly better then the majority of Mecha pilots in recent times to me.

Will also check out Prince of Tennis if I get the chance for some cute Boys Love action.

Sadly no nice looking Yuri this season, then again there is so little of it I can't really say that is a shock.

Also, if BlazBlue does get made and there is no Jin trying to get his bro love on then it's total FAIL. Seriously the best part of BlazBlue is when they take the characters and just have a blast with them. Just no more Hold Order Tsubaki jokes, I'm still fucking bitter.
