Can someone sum up or link me to Brock's retirement speech?

I haven't seen much about it.

Basically said he promised his wife he'd retire after this fight if he lost and that he planned to retire the fight after that if he won (the title fight, win or lose). Thanks UFC, his training partners, etc.

Then admitted he had a horseshoe up his ass and Alistair pulled that son bitch out and beat him over the head with it!

damn.

Is there any where or way to watch this online? No idea where or how to without Sky Sports in the UK. Youtube vids get taken down all the time.

You're supposed to pay for the event and if you want to steal it you'll have to use google like everyone else and figure it out.

So how do I "pay" for it from the UK if I don't have Sky? I don't mind paying for it at all, I just don't want to use Sky.

Liver shots, how do they work?

In UFC 141’s main event, Brock Lesnar was hit in the liver by a left kick from Alistair Overeem. Now, if you have ever been hit in the liver you won’t have to read the following description. For those fortunate people who haven’t, being hit in the liver results in a delayed somatic reaction, where after the pain of the initial impact subsides, the rest of the body feels as if it is shutting down. Completely different from a blow to the head, a liver hit conveys no dizziness, throbbing, or ringing; instead, it produces an eerie sensation where your mind is in complete control and recognizes that you are hurt, but for a few seconds it cannot tell your body to do anything, and you have difficulty breathing. This is mainly due to the visceral innervation of the liver and the location of the hepatic plexus and its close proximity to the right phrenic nerve, which (with the left phrenic nerve) innervates the diaphragm. Alistair Overeem capitalized on this and finished a rather defenseless Brock Lesnar as referee Mario Yamasaki called the bout to an end.

The easiest way is to pay for ESPN.
Its something like £10 a month and you dont have to have Sky (you can subscribe via a standard Freeview box, Virgin, or even via your PC - I think).
Its not a bad deal when you consider the US has to pay for each event, and it costs way more than the £10 that we have to pay.
I think you can also buy events on UFC.com and watch on your PC, but not sure of the quality of the stream or the price.

That was a really decent card, some decent fights. I figured Overeem was going to dominate, though I was expected lesnar to last a little longer.

And to top off the perfect day, the bar I went to ran a competition if you correctly guessed the winner, round and minute of the main event they'd pay for your tab, and I won! :D

That's pretty cool, my local bars don't even show ufc.

Dunno when the replays are but UFC fights are all free on ESPN in the UK and you can subscribe to ESPN on freeview (top up tv) our any other service (Virgin, BT vision etc) no need for Sky.

I'm not trying to say that Brock is a better fighter because of those things. Just that there are things he does better than Overeem and wrestling is obviously one of them. If you want to explain how Overeem has better wrestling than Brock then I'd love to hear that. I would give Brock the cardio advantage too since he is naturally that size wheras Overeem isn't.

No one is "naturally" able to dead lift 800 lbs. If you think Brock didn't have to put his time in the gym to get that big, you're stupid.

I just want to add the last time I saw a stormfront post in MMA discussion was when Cain beat Brock and the Stormfronters were claiming it was a conspiracy because Dana wanted the Mexican market so Brock jobbed because no one break dances like that from punches.

Something to that effect.

But thats just Brock in good shape, he is naturally a big guy. Overeem isn't meant to be that size.

Bullshit. Overeem is a 6'5" man, and a natural heavyweight. Both he and his brother are big guys.

Be realistic, he put on a huge amount of weight in a short space of time. That isn't normal. Yeh it could well just be that he is eating a lot and building up muscle mass at the gym but his frame isn't meant to carry that much.

Yeah, even Overeem says he eats like 10 times a day, works out constantly, and sleeps when he isn't doing the other 2 to maintain his weight. That isn't exactly "natural".

Hovering around 220 would probably be more normal.

Reem also said that he went HW because cutting weight was draining him, so instead of fighting against his natural size he embraced his inner Uber.

Oh and i cant wait for the next episode of The Reem!

Nothing about MMA training is "natural", so the entire point is moot.

Dude, he's a fucking athlete.
