More like: new people in, fans out.
What was so casualized about Reach?
I have a bad feeling about Halo 4. The obvious being no Bungie but i think they are going to casualize it.

Halo is already very "casualized". It has been that since the first one, it wouldn't be that popular otherwise. Just like CoD is casual. There's different kinds of casual, not everything is Wii Sports.
After Reach there's nowhere to go but up. They would really need to try hard and on purpose to output a worst multiplayer game than reach.

Didn't they do that already with Halo 3?
The first thing that came to mind for Halo 4 wishes: an assault rifle that isn't the starting weapon.
A casual is not going to like halo now like in the past. Go see videos and stuff they will say it's too slow or something. You guys are telling me if a casual plays halo CE now that they will like it?
What was so hardcore about Reach?
I think Bungie just wanted to finish and get it over with. Already 343 seemed to ruin the way chief looks but we have to wait and see.

No the way it plays at least now won't really be cool with casuals. See jacks post for example.

Bigger population = better community = better experience
So I take it you have more fun staring at a matchmaking screen for hours on end, rather than playing a game? Or when you do get a game, the small population is such a hindrance that matchmaking can't function properly and puts players of different skills in the same game. That in-turn makes the more talented players board because there's no challenge and makes the less talented players angry because they're getting destroyed. But nope, smaller community is better to you? More power to you.
Yes.
It can be casual and competetive.
The DMR is a pain in the ass to use for casual players because of bloom and that its single shot.
The right move here for the precision weapon is to bring back the BR. The burst fire means its more fun to shoot and a bit easier to handle. But it also has a good skill gap assuming they accelerate the player speed and strafe.
Halo 2 and 3 were good for this. Casual players could use the BR without getting frustrated and good players could enjoy awesome BR battles.
I just want Firefight with big scale vehicle battles. Scarab equivalent.
I think they could learn a thing or two from Horde 2.0 to make things a little more interesting. (Fortifications, bonus objectives)
They'll just make the pistol a handcannon with a secondary automatic fire.... with a 10x scope.
"I'm so cool hardcore elite! I don't want to play with newbies!"
I'm okay with Halo 4 being more casual. Bigger population = better community = better experience. As long as that doesn't mean they need things like ARMOR LOCK to do it. I'm talking about gunplay that is more accessible to anyone. Make the guns fun to shoot, don't drown us down with bloom, and the population will grow.
The DMR is a pain in the ass to deal with. Make the starting gun an amazing weapon and put everyone on the same foot once again (no loadouts)

It's not that, there's a reason I play halo ,there isn't anything out there like it. The game has a specific feel to the gameplay.

lol. I feel sorry that you took Tunavi's post serious. Edit.: Why do people not quote the whole post? Mistake by me. I should read tunavi's post first and not only the quoted stuff.lol
Do you suffer some kind of post New Year hangover?
Redeemed!
You sure? it seems to me the more, the harder to please. I'll take a tight fit but motivated community over a big yet random community anyday.
Reach did try to appeal to the COD community. I think it's a mistake and Halo is its own thing. i'd rather pay more or get a little less to keep Halo being Halo, rather than see it become a cloned experience.
And changes to the gameplay in Reach were made, first to try evolve the franchise (in a not so disguised COD direction), second because bungie could not touch Halo too much anymore and wanted to try a few things with MS money.
EDIT : came here to see if Primordium may have had an early kindle release. Keep up the bashing boys, Reach is so horri..wait, Reach is more than ok.
If there were some new Halo 4 news, there would be a new thread for it.Goddammit, every time I see this thread pop up, I'm getting all excited![]()

The MOBA community says hi hahaha. Also I thought the DMR was much easier to handle than the BRI'm okay with Halo 4 being more casual. Bigger population = better community = better experience. A

wtf am I reading? I cannot believe people don't think a bigger population is good for Halo. smh

Halo already has a big community. More people does increase the chance of trolls for the community. What do you mean by next gen? lol casual is next gen to you?
