NFL 2011 Wild Card |OT| Where Everyone Is In Like Flynn

If the Panthers didn't have to go defense with that first pick, I'd be all in on Blackmon. Kid's a stud.

Too bad we HAVE to go defense with that first pick

I'm not sure he'll drop to eight, though.

Zero chance. St. Louis will move down a couple spots with someone who wants a QB (Cleveland or Washington?) and take him there.

I still want the Giants to go OL. It's not going to be glamorous I know but Dave DeCastro sounds like the guy that I want.

So....who will the Rams and Bucs hire as their next HC? Got money on Morris headin to Rams to get next years #1 draft pick..Also got money on RGIII headin to Tampa..seems like a fit to me.

Conditioning is an issue for him tonight, he pulled on one block and normally he would cream at least one guy but he didn't have the extra gear. Still having a solid game though. Like him a lot, love him actually.

Luck's weapons are his linemen.

We don't need another CB.

We need a ROLB and an ILB and an entirely new DLine. Raji can be a backup.
The hell we don't, have you seen Jarrett Bush cover? Sorry, "cover"? We're one CB injury from making Alex Smith a 500+ yard passer.

My thoughts on the defense:

DL: Biggest need. Pickett is the only guy worth a damn, and he's old. CJ Wilson (only guy who didn't look like crap against the Bears) and Raji are okay fill ins, but Raji's taken a huge step back this year (off-season conditioning problem? idk). Howard Green is done. Neal is still in "too soon to tell" land. Wynn makes a play every once in a while, but it's hard to imagine we can't find a bunch of guys like him.

LB: Another pass rusher would be nice. I like our depth, but we need a difference maker somewhere -- whether that's at the ILB next to Bishop, or the OLB opposite Clay.

Secondary: Another CB would be great, Woodson isn't getting any younger and he'll probably end up at safety sooner or later. Moreso if Nick can't make it back...

But part of the reason I'd want us to go defense early is that we need "first day" (going by the old rounds 1-3 definition) talent at the DL and LB spots to fix the problems with this defense. We have depth, but we don't have enough playmakers.

With the haul of first rounders for Flynn hopefully the Packers can take Ingram. You think he is the best 3-4 OLB, LJ?

It doesn't matter if you have the best secondary in the league (we do) if you can't get a pass rush.

I bet Nick returns but who knows at what level.

Thought Flynn was a FA agent this year? Or is he restricted?

Agreed 100%, except that the bolded is hilariously false when the other team has the Warm Body VS Jarrett Bush matchup to exploit. And again, Woodson can't play CB forever.

I wouldn't pick Detroit over SF if it were this week but if they go into NO (which is possible, I'm picking NO) then I'll take them for the NFL champ game.

Same. If not in the first round, then Zeitler or Osemele as G/RT in the second.

Not sure, I kind of hate this draft in general, hard not to when you stack it against the last two drafts, but the pass rushers really have me perplexed. Everyone has Coples in the top ten but I wouldn't touch him.

I like Ingram though, he plays all over the line, seen him lined up inside as a DT and pull spin moves on a G. Good short area quickness, may be a Woodley type, probably not as good, but I would be happy to have him. Seems to have more than a couple of moves too. I like him, think he'll be a solid player.

Davon House baby!

Jarrett Bush got an INT in the Lions game where was your precious Woodson then? HUH?!! HUH?!!

Haha, I want to believe about Davon House too! Alas, him not sniffing the field this year is probably not the best sign.

I don't know enough about him to say but Fat Mike loves his off-season programs so I imagine that's why. Not ready.

Although whoever does talent evaluation doesn't seem to know much about defense... Hmm...

Wait...what? You're saying that if Detroit beats New Orleans this weekend (which you don't think will happen), that after that point you think they'd go to the Super Bowl?

......Huh?

Edit: Wow nice work by Blackmon there...and he's already wearing number 81......think he'd look good in blue and silver? I hear we're on the lookout for a new WR.

Sounds like Capers wet dream. Get me this man.

Where is Konz projected to go if he declares? After the injury scare this year, I can't see him not doing so.

So jelly of teams making actual moves while Eagles PR works overtime to sell the fans Juan's improvements in the final four weeks.

Yeah D played better but against crappy teams or QBs and they looked 10 times better because Vick and the offense finally showed up to force teams to play catch up.

Would love an outsider to come in as GM with a fresh take on things.

The Eagles so called GM (Howie Roseman) joined the in FO in 2000. His background? He was lawyer. Never coached, played, or had any scout experience in football. Somehow he worked his way up to be GM. Don't think he has final say, but Howie and Reid are a dreadful combo for drafting and talent evaluation.

KC fans what are the chances Bowe reaches the market? If the Eagles are going to let go of DJAX they better sign Bowe. Never ever want to go back to the dark days of mediocre WRs. No I don't think Maclin is mediocre but without DJAX we would be left with Maclin and Avant as starters with Cooper backing them up.

Best Center easily, probably the back third of the first, at worst early second.

Luck looks really solid, but these guys should stop comparing him to fucking Hall of famers. I know they do it for every player to hype them up, but come on.
