Ooh, Purge video for Pugna! I want one of these.

got the beta 2 weeks ago and game is just like I remembered it back in wc3. 2 things I learned is that AI is hacks and botolf sucks just like in l4d
Psssh, replace number 2 with "never attempt to save a bot's life (barring a sure thing)". It is a lesson I fail time and again to learn.

So for my new years resolution, I have decided to do different workout routines every time a GAFfer dies in a game I spectate. Right now I'm doing 5 pushups per Sanjay death and 5 pullups per Meteorain death. Help me come up with more per player.

How about every time Kag apologises for something, or Loki/Thor trolls.

You're going to be built in a week.

I am now. Did like 30 pushups and pullups just now watching them.

Muscles and Pudge hooks?

who has a pullup bar in their room? i mean seriously?

I'm tempted to get an iron gym, but I'm concerned about it breaking my door frame when I do pull ups.

Five crunches every time Neki dies.

You'll be built in no time, if you follow this routine. Requires speakers though.

Loki_Demi - Every time Loki says your "Low Tier" you do 5 push-ups
Moodyshuffle - Every Time Moody types in text instead of using his mic, you do 5 push-ups

looks like he'll be doing 0 pushups then

What are some good ways to counter Riki? It seems that every time he is on the opposite team he completely destroys all the heroes on my team. Is he one of the better hero killers in the game or am I just doing it wrong?

* Place those magic wards down
* Get gem of true sight
* Use dust
* I belive beastmasters level 4 bird can see stealthed units
* Sladars ulitmate shows him if you manage to get him before he stealths
* One of Doombringers skills do the same
* Bloodseeker can silence him and MAYBE (critireon needed) see him if he is below 40% HP
* Drow Ranger can silence him (cant use stealth)

thanks! i haven't ever bought any of that stuff from the store yet... i am sure lots of new players such as myself haven't either which would explain why he dominates so hard. I will be sure to experiment with them next time i see him on the opposite team.

also BKB (Black King Bar) i think resists Rikis smokescreen. Necronomicon* has a unit that can see stealth (truesight) i belive (*criterion needed).

Also Bounty Hunters ultimate might be able to see him (criterion needed).

Also Zeus's ulti shows units on the map aswell as damaging them.

So I know that XP/leveling isn't turned on, but is there any sort of skill rating attached to your results that factors into matchmaking? I'm wondering if I'm getting harder games as I do better. Or does it just toss everyone into the same pool as equals.

You can also get Necronomicon, one of the two creeps it summons has True Sight.

Also, not to sure on Bloodseeker at the moment, but when the game is brought upto 6.73, he will be able to see Riki on the Minimap below 40%, and fully see him below 20%.

Yes, it actually does use a Match Making Raking. The longer the search goes, the wider range of skill sets it will match together though.

There is hidden MM rating but as far as I can tell it's kind of a crapshoot. It's probably low on their list of priorities.

nop

also orchid/sheep stick/bh's track/zeus lightning (only for a few seconds) will work

the first two will prevent sa from going invs

Your Win/loss ratio makes me feel better about my win loss ratio of 34/25 :P

I know, I'm terrible. I made the mistake early on of just doing matchmaking when I first got in, so that resulted. I don't do MM so often anymore, but still sometimes do it.

My first time playing against a Riki I got completely steamrolled, and it was mortifying because a dude on my team was like "Hey Lich go lane against Riki. Lich is awesome against Riki." Since I pretty much do whatever someone who sounds like they know what they're doing tells me to I went to Riki's lane, killed him once, then got ganked four or five times after he turned invisible and realized that by now he had to have come to understand that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Then team fights started happening and they also had a Bounty Hunter and so there were two invisible assholes popping out of nowhere and killing everybody and oh my god flashbacks.

I don't think anybody on my team was much better at the game than I was, and those two were like sharks being released into a kiddie pool. Just blood and screaming and horrified incomprehension everywhere.

Sentry Wards and Dust are the main ways to counter Invisible Units Early game. You use the Ward for defensive purposes, and the Dust for more offensive purposes. The ward lasts 3 minutes, but it in a static spot, the Dust last 12 seconds but once the person is hit by it, they can't be invisible. Dust is usually the best way to counter Shadow Blade.

Okay I'm not trying to KILL myself here GUYS

Does not compute.

Get ranged heroes to harass his lane and a bunch of wards.

I play Riki like 80% of the time, and a damn good harasser will always make me want to smash my keyboard.
