Man you cry about the Eagles and their fans so much. I dont get it at all, the teams almost never play.

No you started that shit by saying they suck because they play in a shitty division. When the NFC west IS NOT leaps and bounds tougher than the AFC South. Like I stated before how can any fan of a team that went from great to a decade of shit talk smack about a team that is 10 years old is mind boggling.

You mention NE's non division record yet that is clearly not what was being discussed so I will bring up that shit because it is obviously what you are basing this all on.

Your team sucks now, deal with it.

You said. Straight out. The Texas were much better than the Niners. There is no evidence of that. Nothing you've presented actually backs that up.

As for why FMT types the things he types, you'd have to ask him. You know if you didn't ignore him.

Dude you brought up past NE teams. Those other AFC East teams were definitely mediocre back then but the difference is the Pats a. backed it up in the playoffs and b. had Tom Brady. TJ Yates is motherfucking awful. And I live in North Carolina so that's all people are talking about regarding the NFL. Well besides Cam Newton.

I used NE's record because the arguement shifted to divisional record being the barometer for where how good a team is measured. Now you bring up fucking TJ Yates. You support my fact that if Schaub was healthy the Texans would be a force in the AFC where this whole arguement started from. The Texans will beat the Bengals Saturday. They will more than likely lose to the Ravens the following week though I will admit that.

Does that mean they suck? No.

Did you see the Flyers fans booing the Canadian anthem at the outdoor game on New Years? Sorry bro, your city is classless.

There were a ton of Rangers fans at that game also, so I guess New York fans are horrible to. Even if you could some how show that it was only Flyers fans what does that have to do with him crying about Eagles fans?

It's one barometer, sure.

TJ Yates is their starting QB right now right?

If Schaub was healthy they probably wouldn't have lost three in a row to end the season. As to being a force in the AFC? No clue. The Steelers finished 12-4 with a great defense and a gimpy QB in a harder division. Why should I be impressed with the Texans?

Watching last nights "Inside the NFL".
Funny stat Chris just laid out: Tebow is 7-1 in games in which Phil Simms didn't call. 0-3 in games he called. Has pretty much nothing to do with anything, but hey, if you believe in Tebow, you can believe in that.

And Simms is calling his game this weekend.

Pretty good considering matt, andre, mario, and foster played for an entire one quarter together all season.

It's been a rough couple of weeks but I'm still damn proud of the team. I lol'ed when Wade took medical leave. It was just getting silly.

Got Andre, Wade Phillips, and Mike Briesal back for playoffs...so hopeful we can do this.

Consistantly a top 3 defense in the league this year, while losing their top defensive player
Top 5 in offense when Schaub was in there
60 yards away from have TWO 1000 yard rushers
An O Line that is considered the best in the league
Only had their offensive big 3 (Schaub/AJ/Foster) on the field for 6 total quarters all year
Won games they were not supposed to against the Steelers and Falcons and hung with the Saints for 3 1/2 quarters
Kept winning after losing the #1 AND #2 QB.

Yeah they lost the last three. I would mark Carolina as an example of a let down game because they have NEVER had any kind of success and it got their heads and they didnt know how to react and AJ went down again and they were just lost in the Colts game

But people like Jamie Dukes and yourself just seem to overlook all that.

they're a ten win team, and it's their first ever ten win season and playoff berth. I'm not saying they suck, but you shouldn't be surprised that they get "overlooked."

Not surprised by being overlooked, it IS a northeastern league afterall but the two niners fans in here flat out said they just suck while basing that opinion on opinions with no facts.

except, you know, lately

You had a good run and it sucks that you lost Schaub (GTFO with Lionhart mattering) but your season is over. Denial aint just a woman in the bathroom with Big Ben.

Im gonna laugh when Rodgers snaps his ankle at the 9:15 mark of the 2nd quarter of their first playoff game.

come on now, we have no shot against the Bengals?

It's not like I expect to win the super bowl. Just get me the home win and I'm good.

Much like Browns head coach Pat Shurmur, Browns President Mike Holmgren was measured in his evaluation of Colt McCoy during his season-ending press conference.

“My opinion of Colt hasn’t changed,” said Holmgren. “He can be, could be [a franchise quarterback]. But I’m not ready to anoint Colt yet.”

Holmgren indicated that McCoy will face competition for the starting job this year. He wouldn’t want the competition to last throughout the whole preseason, but it sounds like the Browns will not enter 2012 with McCoy locked in as starter.

G.M. Tom Heckert indicated the team is going to be focused on improving the offense this offseason. Both men stressed that they will build through the draft, and not go crazy in free agency.

Some other notes from the press conference:

1. Holmgren said the team didn’t talk to former Vikings head coach Brad Childress about a job last year. They wouldn’t rule out hiring Childress as offensive coordinator this year.

2. The Browns pleaded with fans to be patient. Holmgren expects a better record next year and believes their drafts have been productive. We agree that Holmgren and Heckert have drafted well. Cleveland holds the No. 4 overall pick and Atlanta’s first round pick this year.

3. Cleveland may have gone 4-12 this year, but Holmgren won the longest post-season press conference championship again. 75 minutes. Take that, Lurie.

Top 5 in total yards, rushing, passing and points. What else is left?

Cheap shots?

Whoosh.

That belongs to Detroit, damn it!

No way. Raiders all the way.

I didn't participate with any regularity. If it makes you feel any better, my Super Bowl pick last year was Packers - Bengals. This year was Packers - Ravens.

I'm feeling pretty good about this year.

The Bungles?! Seriously?!

Fuck it! Im going with my playoff prediction from a couple weeks ago.

Texans beat Bengals
Steelers beat Tebows

2nd round:

Texans upset ravens
Steelers upset Patriots

AFC Championship: Steelers vs Texans in Reliant.
