~180 games high
~40 games med
~10 games low

I don't think the system works properly, though. I had a low tier game where Milkman, Kag and Ikuu were on my team.

88 High
24 Medium
5 Low

Yeah I agree with Kappy, I am most definitely not high. And there's this one game with me and Swag in low.

That or they need more ranks. Do the SC2 Bronze-Silver-Gold-Platinum-Diamond-Master-Grand Masters dealie.

I have a low tier game against Link and someone else in SK, they had someone abandoning early from their team though.
Can leavers be the reason that they're listed as low tier?

Might also be date. The date for the swag game is Nov 7, so probably the system didn't know where to put him at the time.

In fact, all my Low level games are before Nov 22, Mid games are Nov 23 - 29 and High games are Nov 7th to Now.

Should have stopped at game 2, jesus. Going 0-5 and not even wanting to play from 3 on is a great idea. And by great idea, I mean the dumbest fucking thing I've ever done in regards to Dota. Apologies to my teammates, you deserved better.

As a fellow dota player I feel I can only say

THIS FUCKING TEAM MAN, UNISTALL THE GAME, LOL FEEDER!

As a human being I have to say

It is ok, just know when to fold them to avoid frustration.

Here's my problem with the genre:

I can play any other team game, play bad, and I won't ruin the game for my entire team. This game is the complete opposite of that, and usually the rest of my team is incredibly adamant about reminding me for 30+ minutes about how much I'm ruining their game. By that point, I've pretty much stopped learning anything about the game and I'm ready to disconnect.

Playing with 4 good players is better, because I can still play like shit and not completely ruin it for them. The problem then is when I play with better players on my team, I get matched with better players (This is how it works for HoN and LoL, not sure if this is how it works in DOTA2 yet) who usually stomp all over me.

I don't mind learning curves in games at all, but there's much more than the learning curve that is working against new players in this genre.

Any game/sport that has 5 people on a team (or fewer) and the worse you do will have a bigger effect on the game. Also playing with good players isn't always the best thing to do, all that ends up happening is that you get carried to a higher MMR and possibly get owned while doing so.

Anyway Dota2 doesn't even have any of the tools implemented to help people learn the game, and as I've said all along the beta isn't really the best place to learn the game.

There isn't a MOBA out there, to my knowledge, that has a good enough set of tools to help people properly learn the game. It comes down to whether or not you can deal with assholes, or if you have 4 friends to play with.

I learned something today. "Yaz" means "fish" in Russian. I was playing a matchmaking game with this Pudge (he was actually pretty good) who barely spoke English and couldn't understand most of our English. There was a Slardar on our team, and Pudge kept referring to him as "fish", and he said that yaz means fish in Russian.

'Yaz' means 'Ide' in russian. It's become very popular after this video.

How good is Windrunner? She's like always picked

The best character not worth banning. Personally I think she doesnt get banned cause there are too many other dangerous heroes to take out in the first round of bans and then she'll be picked.

"Showcasing how to play Lich at a very high level." - Teleport and ulti.
"Showcasing how to play Furion at a high level." - Doesn't die because of teleport.

to be fair, the furion teleport was because he used a scroll, which is something you don't really see.

ha ha the stream got crunched. fix your game valve

Lumi is a smarter caster than Tobi. Tobi is more enthuastic. Tobi needs Syn or someone more knowledgeable backing him up.

He does a good job hiding all that intelligence judging by this piece of work. Such dumb shit being spouted every minute.
