I remember coming home after school and watching Captain N.

I still very clearly remember the episode where it was Mega Man's birthday. I don't know why I remember it that clearly.

I also watched the Super Mario Bros. super show

Re: Collage.

My avatar was not included. So I'm gonna have to ask you to take it down, or January will be canceled.

Yeah oh I have one other embarrassing item although it was a gift for me. Hopefully you can make it out, it's impossible to photograph this thing.

Have kids, then you'll have a great excuse.
Hahaha I have nieces and the shows they watch suck. Fuckin wubba wubba and gooba gabba. There was one good one though, some spy dog and his female lady friend. That was good.

but today's cartoons suck ass

You could not be more wrong.

The new Thundercats is pretty fantastic. So is Young Justice, and Phineas & Ferb. And Adventure Time. Lots of great stuff out there right now. Cartoons are at least as good as they have ever been. Take off those rose-colored glasses!

Even the new Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo shows are entirely watchable. I'm not a fan, but I'll gladly watch 'em with my kid.

Never really had any serious ones, but in Scotland I used to wear shorts under my uniform (had to attend a Catholic school, and boy was that weird) because there'd always be minor scraps in the schoolyard at lunch, and the favorite tactic for girls was to pull your skirt down.

I also used to be really physical with people (punching them in the shoulders and whatnot) thinking I was tough, until finally a boy a grade higher than me punched me in the chest by way of response. I learned a valuable lesson that day: Don't be a dick.

Welcome to the party. :)

Alas, I'm not. I only lived there ~2 years. I'm just from boring America (sometimes). I really miss Scottish accents...

A good lesson. Maybe that's the same one the kid who punched me got. Not that I was a bully or anything. I just thought being aggressive was cool (and I was so small that I doubt I did any real damage. I was just annoying, I'm sure). My dad never gave me any valuable advice which probably goes a lot toward explaining why I was such a little dick in my younger years.

It was really not that exciting, I assure you. Long gray skirts and gray cardigans with gray ties (this is where I learned to tie a tie). Graygraygraygraygray. As if Scotland wasn't gray enough. :P

Hahahaha I really had a good chuckle at this.

There's so much I want to say so many stories. However i'm just awake there's no way. This really put me in a good mood though for the start of my day.

But my birthday is in January. You don't have that kind of power.

Cartoons for me? What I remember as a kid is Batman TAS, Spiderman, and X Men. I watched SWAT Cats occasionally.

By the time Batman Beyond was out I had stopped watching cartoons. It was actually the Pokemon anime that pushed me away from them. Everyone at school was always talking about it, but it was crap from the beginning.

I watch Spongebob today if somehow I stumble onto it. I don't really know what else even plays.

What? No. If anything, modern western animation is the best its ever been. Shows like Adventure Time, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Young Justice are consistently great, while Avatar: The Last Airbender is the best western animated show of the last 20 years.

Children today have got it good.

Where does samurai jack fit into that?

And rugrats may not have your fancy animation, but it's got soul god dammit! :p

And as both an F1 fan and a Peter Kay fan, I wish we'd had 'Roary the Racing Car' when I was growing up. :(

it is funny to see what posters at the start of the thread talked up changing their avatar and never have.

Also Yo Gabba Gabba is fantastic. Very happy to sit and watch it with my son, especially when they have people like Rhys Darby and Questlove on.

Fresh orange juice.

FEELS GOOD MAN

Oh hell yes. Was feeling under the weather before the holidays and have been having a glass morning and night and feel SO much better now.

I'm not reading through the whole thread, but... I supposed I'm not the only one who used the avatar to know who was talking instead of the alias.

That's confusing.
