I never seen this sort of situation pop up before, so I have no idea.

Do we have any clue as to what position he'll take with the Patriots? O'Brien said he was staying as O.C. throughout the playoffs, so that position's already taken. Maybe he can have a lesser role with the offense, such Offensive Quality Control or a position coach.
 
Can you imagine the pressure Tebow must be feeling now? This game tomorrow will make or break his career and that's not an exaggeration. If he falls flat on his face like last week, he's 100% done. The Broncos will move on and nobody else will give him a shot. If he wins tomorrow and he puts up decent numbers, he'll go into next season as the starting QB.

I'm so rooting for the guy. I can't stand all the Tebow haters that come out of the woodwork to bash him. It's not like he's granting interviews and bringing all this attention upon himself, it's 95% media creation.

Pittsburgh is banged up. If there was a game that Denver could win, this is probably their best shot. Add into the fact that Elway wants Tebow to pull the trigger, we could see some interesting things happen.

Hahaha, I know Frankman is out there reading this. We've had our tiffs, but he's a staple in this thread. Was he permed?

If he falls flat on his face, he is still signed through next year. I'm sure he will get an off season to work and compete for the job again. I'm having a hard time seeing who they will get in the draft at this point since the crop is thinning out. What other veterans could they bring in?

I think saying it is the end of his career is a bit hyperbolic and is part of the media creation. He'll find somewhere to land if Denver decides to ship him out, although possibly in a different role. We know McD and Belicheck like him, and they might have the sand to utilize him in a way that Fox/McCoy couldn't. I highly doubt it would happen, but it would be interesting to see how Tebow could be utilized outside of the QB position.

A happy response. He would add some speed to this WR corps, the only downside he's kinda old, but at least he's an improvement over Ocho.

Oh and if McD really returns for the playoffs he already played Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Baltimore & New Orleans this year with Rams, it can only help.

He is very good. But his catches are acrobatic b/c he falls to the ground as he catches the ball. He absolutely hates contact of any kind. He will give you no YAC

I think they'll "let the draft come to them." A team could easily trade with the Rams or Vikings in front of us to take RG3. In which case I think we'll probably take Blackmon.
If RG3 is there at 4 it's going to be a tough decision. If they're sold on him, they think he can transition to playing under centre and adapting to learning a WCO, they'll pick him but you better believe Heckert would love to trade down himself. Luck and RG3 are the only clear consensus first round QB picks this year (before the combine at least) so he's going to be worth a lot.

Whilst Richardson is very good, and would be a very good fit in the WCO, taking him at #4 is too high for a RB (at least, that's my understanding of the value of that position in the draft these days).


My current thinking is:

If RG3 is gone they will take Blackmon (whoever didn't do the trade between the Vikings and Rams are going to pick the left tackle Kalil).
If RG3 is there at #4, Heckert will trade down, pick up another second round this year and a first round next year and spend a later choice on another developmental QB. Maybe Tannehill or Osweiler.


I think they're waiting to decide on RG3. See how tall he actually measures at at the combine, how he interviews etc... We'll get more hints over the next few months.

Lolol sorry but lloyd isnt very good. He makes some of the most incredible catches you will ever see but hes not even a legit #1 wr. If you take him out of the game early he becomes disinterested. Crabcakes, morgan are much better and i would even take kyle williams over him

I'm not sure I understand how this helps the Patriots other than getting Josh McDaniels back into the groove for next season. It's just kind of funny to me that they didn't bring in another defensive coordinator for the playoffs since that's actually where they have trouble.

Weird. I don't think I pay extra on DTV to get these channels but my DTV bill is so fucking ludicrous that I stopped even looking at it. Fucking disgusting. And the only reason I have it is for live sports. If I'm not watching sports I'm watching something on Roku. Oh, how I wish i could cut the cord...
