Real Pic January!

I got a bonus in December so I'm booked at the end of January to finally get a big piece I've been wanting.

I'm getting an end of contract bonus from my current job at the end of January, but I'm using it to stay afloat while our company tries to get its first product out the door.

Would love to spend some of it on a tattoo, though.

Three. All on my left hand or arm. None very interesting though, but people have commented on them from time to time to ask me what happened.

1) When I was 2-3 I burnt the back of my hand/wrist on my great-grandmother's stove in her store. It's about the size of a nickle and really faded now.

2) Dog bite when I was about 10. It's on the inside of my arm. He was a mean son of a bitch and I got too close to his chain chasing a baseball.

3) On my pointer finger, the bottom knuckle. I cut myself with a bow saw when I was about 11 or 12. Have an inch long scar.

I don't have any tattoos, but if I was to get one... I would make sure I was ripped as all hell, and get the red dragon tattoo from the movie. That would be amazing..

My left little finger is a jumbled mess because I broke twice in a row during the same week back when I was four (it got stuck in the same door twice, I don't remember how it happened but I was probably playing near it and someone closed it on my hand). The surgery didn't work too well (and the plaster fell off too early) so now my top phalanx is crooked and there's a scar all over my finger.

And then 12 years later I broke the same finger again by jumping over a hole and hitting a rock with my hand... Yeah that finger is fucked for life.

Outside of that, my left hand has a few scars, one is due to a bottle of beer "exploding" while I was trying to open it and there's another due to a 2nd degree burn (took some tools that melt paint with my bare hand... I was a bit dumb during pre-school).

I have a few more coming from accidentally cutting myself with glass shards too, there's always a scar left when that happens for some reason.

All this talk of tattooing is getting me excited for my appointment.

Wanted one since I was 16, but never did. Which so far is a good thing because I keep changing my mind about what I want.

Currently I want a 1-up shroom. I'm such a fucking nerd.

2 tattoos, circa 2001.

One is a funny word that is written in a scary looking font. The other is a character with a motto underneath it. Each resides on a shoulder.

Will probably get another one soon enough, as a sign of respect to my film sensei, Yoshihiro Nishimura.

In fantasy land, I'd love to get a giant back piece of Aurora Snow riding Space Godzilla like a motorcycle.

Mine's going to be a detailed scene from Call of Duty on the front of my neck with the words "DON'T HATE THE PLAYER" on my forehead in script.

I wouldn't mind getting something like this on my forearm or something;

But i've just never gotten around to it yet. Totally clean atm apart from some unseen scars.

Scars I have, tattoos I do not. Scars on my fingers from the aforementioned shattered glass incident. Scar on my lip from when my grandmother shut my face in the dishwasher (don't ask). Scar on my ass cheek from sliding down a poorly-designed slide with wood sides and getting impaled by a nice fat chunk of wood (they had to cut through my Spider-Man underoos).

And of course lots and lots of surgical scars...which I actually don't care for that much. Appendectomy scars, cholecystectomy scars, and three nice big implant scars. I get really self-conscious when I take my shirt off these days.

I used to want a tattoo so bad, I almost got one. But as I got older I realized that making permanent changes to my body kind of freaks me out... Not when other people do it to themselves, just me.

Good morning/afternoon RP GAF.

Get a heart tattoo on your cheek :)

What, so I can permanently be like Rainbow Brite?

I might be an 80s child, but I'm not that much of an 80s child! Actually I had a Rainbow Brite costume when I was 4-5. I should post a picture of that on Flashback Friday.

I just remembered I had a dream
nightmare
that I was at a used book sale, but all the hardcovers were $25 :O AND I HAD NO MONEY ANYWAY!

Yes, this is the kind of thing that horrifies me.

Jumping on the LATE TRAIN.

...put that to the tune of some song. Doesn't really matter which. Just as long as it fits really.

I mean you can put it to a tune that doesn't fit but that's a bit idiotic really.

Been sick with the cold for the past week but I've been lurking in the thread. The Real Pic GAF mosaic has my blessing; it looks kick ass. I'm thinking about switching my avatar pic one to more times before the deadline.

On topic: I don't have any tattoos because I can't picture looking at it when I'm old; scars are like tattoos any way. I do have a couple of birth marks and scars though. I have a small dot on the right side corner of my mouth which is often covered by facial hair. I also have a dot on my smallest toe on my left foot.

Scar wise, the only interesting one I have is a small red ant bite on the inside of my right wrist. I got that one when I was ten after leaning on a barbed wire fence in the Dominican Republic. I felt a burning-stinging sensation when lo and behold there was an ant on my arm. It's the lamest scar I got because it was from an ant of all things. I have a few others, but they're pretty lame.

I despise all tattoos no matter how artistic. I especially hate the one women tend to have just above their backside. It probably wouldn't be a deal breaker, but it would annoy me a little.

It's like putting graffiti on the Taj Mahal.

Hey hey roleplay GAF. On the topic of tattoos, I went through a big Tom Robbins phase during university, so after reading Still Life with Woodpecker I decided to get the art from a packet of camel cigarettes tattooed on my bicep:

Thankfully it was going to cost about $300 which was completely impossible when I was a student because once I was over the phase I completely forgot that I wanted it in the first place.

My skin scars pretty much for life, so despite healing up, I will always have discoloration where the scar once was.

I still have a scar going up my right arm from where I cut up my arm on the spout of an inflatable donut.
The largest scar I have is a line across the back of my left hand, caused by a very serious burn I endured while baking cookies.

I'm like that too, the thought of permanent tattoos scare me too! I don't really dig the whole tattoo look to be honest, especially when its so in your face, colourful and all over the body.

Scar talk, eh?

I've got a new one on my right side from some surgery I had in September of last year. It's about 12"-14" long, so it looks like I've been slashed by a sword. :lol

Drunkenness + self-done tats lead to some crazy/stupid things is what I've learned.

lol

He did it himself as well? I suppose it would be funny walking into a tattoo parlour with a picture of your mate's oven. :D

Maybe he'll get some more done of various household appliances. He could have his mother's toaster and his brother's iron.

I didn't even realize it happened at first. Then a few minutes later I looked down and thought, "man, my skin's gone."

Baking cookies: serious business

I used to do the same thing when I was working with electronics as a kid. My parents used to buy me these kits like "make your own short-range FM mic" which I'd assemble over summer holidays. By the end of the holidays my hands were a mess of 1st and 2nd degree soldering-iron burns. Good times, though.

lol

I have a little scar on my forehead. I ran into the corner of the door when I was a kid. :/

Hah, me too.

My little cousin and I were fighting and I ran full speed into the side of a metal closet. Needed 16 stitches to patch it up.

I hit my forehead on the edge of my pool when I was 3 and busted it open. 56 stitches. If I make the face I'm making in my avatar, you can see the scar easily.

Last time I checked, I had 2 scars, one on my thumb and one above my eye.

The thumb one was from shaving a stick at scout camp (not a euphemism, I had a knife and a twig and nothing else to do. I realise it was a stupid idea in hindsight but oh well).

The eye one was from climbing over my bed to get my guitar and hitting my head on some shelves.

...yeah, I dunno which was more stupid either.
