Even more of a waste when Dalton goes and picks it up like its nothing.

Edit: Haven't much of a chance to watch Dalton all year long but he's pretty damned impressive.

I don't know why they bother with that play where the QB hands the ball to the guy behind him, and that guy charges into the big pile of bodies and.. that's it. No gain. Does anything good ever come of that? I presume the point is that he finds a gap in there to run through, but I don't see that happening often,

1. Wear down the Defense
2. If Defense expects run, you can fake and try to pass and gain good yards
3. Sometimes Defenses are just rock solid and they stopped the play from ever getting any ground

Keep watching, if the line gets a good block, those plays are pretty efficient and most of all, safe.

Keeps defenses honest instead of letting them roll into pass coverage all game. It also wares on the defense. Its a dying part of the game, but an important one
