Plenty of talking points in that game and I'm sure they'll all be discussed in great detail here.
Main thing I took from it is; If City go on to win the title as we expect them too, they will be worthy Champions if they play like they did today for the remaining half of the season. Committed, disciplined and determined. A really great performance from them, much credit.
United were as they have been all season, good and dangerous when the tide was in our favour. However, this United team buckles under pressure, it lacks character and leadership IMO.
I'm gonna be getting a mod to ban me until the end of this month, so enjoy the rest of January Footy-GAF!

I was cheering United on when it was 3 - 0; I love nothing more than a good spanking. But where were they second half?! Simply awful from Man U. Where's doicare by the way? Preparing his "if only Cleverly was playing" speech I assume.
Granted, United won, but City showed how good they are today. Full credit to them - and Aguero in particular; I thought he was outstanding.

No, I'm not joking. I saw a stupid red card, evra could have been sent off and Phill Jones made a penalty near the end. That's just my opinion. And no, I don't support Man Utd nor City, they could both lose and I wouldn't give a crap...

Welbeck scored a great goal but he wasn't doing much most of the game. Anderson was useless when he came on. Seems like those two only played well when there was the Cleverley link between them in th early part of the season.
And Scholes? WTF. How can anyone even think it's a great idea to bring back a 37 fucking years old central midfielder to a title-contending squad and even start him off in one of our biggest game of the season? Scholes is a United legend but nostalgia is clouding everybody's judgment. Scholes' last couple of seasons have been very mediocre and bringing him back after six months away from the game is going to change things how?

After Aguero's performance today I want to see Hulk come to PL. He has the same energy and drive as Aguero, but I rate Hulk slightly more.
Bit disappointed in City and Mancini at the end. Fair enough they were down to 10 men so it can be tough but where was the big push in the last 5 minutes to try and get the equaliser?

Agreed. Aguero is so awesome.
I missed 5 mins of the game, that might have happened at that time. Anyway, even in that situation, City has a lot more to complain in my opinion and the referee had impact on the result.

Bringing on Scholes was a disastrous move in two ways:
1. He's not ready for this type of match. He pretty much gave a way a fucking goal and could've caused more damage.
2. It forced Giggs to the wing who was utterly ineffective and didn't have the legs for the counter. We nullified our left side of midfield.

We really miss Vidic.
Evra and Ferdinand still have the class they once hand, but they're dopey, they make basic mistakes and allow pressure to come onto us. A couple of seasons back, our defence was so rock solid it absorbed untold amounts of pressure.
Just generally across the pitch however, there are players who become flustered. The forward players, as they tend to be, are composed and assured.
But, the keepers, Rio, Evra, Jones and the whole of the CM is very nervous and folds easily.
Really glad Smalling is back he is a really great player in the making.

I think people so heavily applauding City are already forgetting the first half to some extent. They were all over the place, and certainly not the dogged, hard-working side that's become the "story".

This is true, but I would never have predicted a loss to Sunderland under any circumstance; maybe they'll get overconfident because of today and slip up again. They seem much more motivated when playing us however.

Through his own fault. Having 10 man isn't an excuse for playing poorly and conceding goals, just as it wasn't at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Have you actually seen him play or are you just talking because of his nickname and size? According to everyone I have heard about him, he's much more of a winger than forward and that is what he has also looked like the few times I have seen Porto.
Drogba is a good bit bigger than him too btw.

Mancini erred in taking Silva and not Nasri off. Unless Silva was injured?
Great work ethic by City, particularly Milner (unsurprising) and Aguero (slightly more surprising).
Our subs were all awful though. I realise our players were on yellows, but we got it all wrong and so precipitated in at least one of City's goals.
Still should've had a pen though

He plays much better on the wings. They had him playing a central position yesterday against us which is why he was much easier to close down.
