I want this. I just want more games like Myst in general. We need more games like Myst in general. Fuck now I'm depressed

It is depressing. One of the most imaginative series ever goes down the tubes because most people just aren't interested in that sort of thing. Honestly, I'm impressed it lasted as long as it did. And hardly any copycats of any quality.

Yeah, speech is definitely pushed to the backburner in Skyrim.

I like playing games like that as a smooth-talker who didn't have to kill everyone and could talk my way out of situations like in Fallout 3.

For everything else, I had a flaming sword.

One thing I keep doing in Skyrim, is when people attack I scream (in my head) "Can't we TALK about it!?" I don't WANT to kill them. But they want to kill me without even knowing what I'm doing there :/

Dream game. Dreeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaam gaaaaaame. Let's make this game, Lissar. :D

Aww, yeah! Let's do it! The next GAF made masterpiece.

I like Gackt. :S

EVERYONE IS FREE TO HATE ME FOR THAT

I like Oasis. Um... that's about it.

My dream game is an action game like Bayonetta with a world like Assassin's Creed but better designed combat encounters

And set pieces like Uncharted 2

THIS IS BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE AND CONFLICTING BUT I WANT IT

1) That sounds like an intimidating amount of work. Kudos to XSEED for making things work so well.

2) Is it easier working in Excel or Open Office? No Google Docs?

3) Scenario: spaghetti alla carbonara. Do you stick with your tried-and-true bacon, branch out to pancetta, or go full-bore Italianate traditionalist and insist on guanciale? If you do stick with bacon, what specific kind do you get?

4) I took six years of Latin. If I attempted it right now, I wouldn't be able to stitch together a paragraph without making a devastating series of declension and conjugation errors. Then again, I am pretty dim. Sorry, Vergil
the poet of course, Devil May Cry gets nothing but a sneer
.

1) We each have our special ways of dealing with it. I cut off 27 inches of hair after Trails. :)

2) Both have their issues, but excel is the worst of the two.

3) I use thick-cut pepper bacon. Going authentic is way too expensive, and I'm only cooking for myself usually.

4) I used to be able to write in runes. I remember a few, but it's sketchy at best.

Some of my favorite games don't involve killing anybody... (actually with the first two
I mean the case could me made that there is some killing but whatever man you know what I mean
)

The Longest Journey
Grim Fandango
Super Marios of all kinds (although I suppose you could make the argument that mario is a homicidal maniac)
Rez
Myst
Pokemon
Viva Pinata
Deus Ex played that way... pretty cool
Mirror's Edge if you'd good.. with a couple exceptions :(

The thing about games is being really good will shine through no matter what you're doing. The first time I played Katamari Damacy...

On a random note, there's a lot of shouting going on in my complex right now. From what I can overhear, there seems to be a "crackhead" running around with a "garbage can" and also something about "squirrels."

*shrug*

Well at least a woman didn't get stabbed in front of her house 3 streets next to mine a few days ago. Or about a month ago when I stayed over at a family's place and we heard gunshots REALLY close to the house and in the morning found out someone was killed. So hey it could be worse!

He... shot that horse...! ;_;

Jesus. Sorry you had to be so close. Scary, scary.

Well damn I think you win the dangerous living arrangements argument. Stay safe and such.

Well, the area usually seems fine, but there's a motel on the main road a street in front of us and apparently they come wandering into our lot breaking into cars and doing asshole-ish stuff. I don't feel scared or anything. Just curious about all the running around going on in the courtyard. Like a swarm of bees down there. :P

See, now how am I supposed to express sadness to Alucrid and Billychu at the same time? ckohler needs to get on this ASAP-like.

So I restarted Mario Galaxy 2 because I never did finish the game

And I think, like, I'm subconsciously speedrunning it? Like, I keep cutting corners and making jumps that I usually wouldn't try.

Have you ever played Seiken Densetsu 3?

I like it more than Secret of Mana, personally.
Although Seiken Densetsu 3 suffers from a litany of pervasive combat bugs, I liked it more than Secret of Mana as well. Better defined characters, the class system, and a magic system that (at least) wasn't completely broken made up for the lack of weapon flexibility. Also, sitting around while charging your weapon for 40 seconds was wack.

Man! I miss a lot of good stuff while I'm at work!

People talking about my favorite games (Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc.) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

I'm off to eat dinner and watch a DVR'd movie, but I am so ready for silly hat day tomorrow! :D

PS: The sombrero is my business hat, not my silly hat.

Yeah, part of the art of cooking for one is finding ways to repurpose ingredients for multiple dishes across multiple meals. Otherwise, things can get incredibly pricey.

Over the holidays, I needed to get some morels. The price for dried morels was $185/lb, but the total on the receipt ended up being much lower than I had expected. After walking out of the market rather perplexed, I realized the cashier had rung them up @ $25/lb. I didn't go back.

Seared veal rib chops deglazed with cognac, served with morels in a cognac-crème fraîche sauce. Worth it? Dunno, but apparently I'm making that dish pretty much every time I have to cook for the family again.

Best games of all time up in here:

Metal Gear Solid 3
Devil May Cry 3

Diablo 2
The 7th Guest
Under a Killing Moon
Final Fantasy 4
Ninja Gaiden (xbox)
Silent Hill 2
Quake
Ikaruga

Come at me, bros.

On the topic of Skyrim, I was 95 hours in with my bad ass character ready to start the Main Quest, and the bitch kills my PS3.

That was before Christmas. Not buying one until after my CFA exam in June.
