Will do. But I actually heard this series is good? Or was I lied to?
Oh, but you see, Shinai's story here doesn't lend itself much credibility in that regards. I mean, I understand the motive behind the story and what the moral is. But.
It's a bit ridiculous that the protagonist (after moving) doesn't visit her if he's so deeply in love with her. I mean, okay, i'll accept that text messages don't really get their feelings across to each other, but japan being as small as it is and railway transportation being so common there, there are just so many things wrong with a story that credits itself to being "realistic"

When the hell does Rinne no Lagrange actually start airing?

I learned methods of torture from the Spanish Inquisition. Will do. But I actually heard this series is good? Or was I lied to?
The early parts of the movie take place in the mid to late 1990s, so even text messages weren't as widespread back then anyway. Also, the place Takaki moves to, Tanegashima, is a small island six hundred miles away from Tokyo/Iwafune.
Ah. Well, the anime does change from ep. 2 on -- the first episode is that one-off battle, but after that it becomes more normal and changes to a plot focus-- but still, as I said, the anime and manga have entirely different stories with the same characters. Whenever you get to the manga, and more of the anime, it'd be interesting to see how they compare (to the VN).Dunno actually. I haven't actually tried the manga yet. I'm not going to go any further in anything else until I finish the VN. I did only the first ep of the anime, and it naturally shared a few things, but was completely different otherwise.
My problem with Bodacious Space Pirates isn't that it is similar to modern day Japan, but that they spend too much time establishing that their world is similar to modern day Japan with a few gadgets here and there. World-building doesn't have to rely on putting every unimportant detail at the forefront, especially when it robs the script of whatever small momentum it has.
Yeah, it did, and it's good. The MC's great, as seen in that gif.It already did.

You should have told him to watch Colorful.
Watch Aquarion Evol.
Less superfluous shots of magazines connected to televisions, iPad notebooks, and revolving doors, and more plot would have been great!Ah. I see your point, but for me the ridiculous degree of the similarity bothered me more than the use of technology; some of it was unnecessary, perhaps, sure, but some was kind of cool.
As for world building though, when your world concept is "modern Japan but with some added tech", I don't know how much work they really had to do... what do you think the episode should have done instead?
Its not airing? how did Hulu get it early?
I'm going to watch it anyway, I-it's not like i'm actually interested or anything, okay?

Now you can be taken seriously.Damned loli shows.
Ano Natsu de Matteru 1: This really is like Onegai Sensei. Also, more proof that a virgin guy will do anything for a girl who looks his way!
People mentioned Super 8, which makes perfect sense, but of course, I'll just mention that the camera bits are a bit like Tamayura. It's like they're trying to class up the standard magical girl love triangle formula anyway.
Anyone else not really digging the cg mechs of this season?
Boobs indeed!god damn it... was thinking of GTO for some reason. OS wasn't bad though. Boobs.

This sums up my feelings on Bodacious Space Pirates:
There's few examples of something so stupid and a scene where technology for the sake of technology is actually a waste of time than the scene in Bodacious Space Pirates where the new substitute teacher shows the new transfer student, yes I know what a non-cliched scenario, where to sit by looking at his seating chart for a second, fumbling with it for a second and then causing a giant yellow arrow to materialize on the only fucking empty chair in the classroom. Congratulations, that's my award for useless fantasy technology in fiction and accurately sums up that feeling that I get while watching Space Pirates. Technology should make things simpler not stupider and Space Pirates should be cooler than sea pirates not stupider, unfortunately in this show neither is true.

Nobody should like CG mechs.
Let this illusion linger on.
Okay, it's not that bad, but it's a much better community than, say, animesuki.
well, that's not setting the bar very high but still
You mean the one that starts "If youre a monster"?Oh man, the newest SOS quotes are completely gold. I'm not gonna post it here, but that second one... anime fans amaze me.

The big news Aya Hirano was talking about was thankfully not Geass. She got some bit part in some stupid late night live action drama.
