Got my Kop ticket for the City Semi-Final. Kop 305. Should be a class atmosphere.

Now, back to bed.

I expect you to take full responsibility in lifting the team to ensure the good guys win that game.

Such a shame Manager won't be watching as he hates dirty cheating teams and by his definition both sides qualify.

So the rumour is that Newcastle want to double Ba's wages to ward off teams. Of course, with Ba wanting to play for PSG some day, it wouldn't stop them, that's for sure.

What are Germany's next fixtures this year ? I would love to see Miro Klose break Gerd Müller's record before the EURO begins ('cause he might miss it...).

Also, since we are in 2012, it would be fair to make a guess or two about who will end up being the European Champions. My guess is obviously Germany but I wouldn't write off teams like France and England. I don't see latin countries advance to the ultimate stage but many may disagree, and I hope they do. I want to know more about their vision of what the tournament will en up looking like.

So happy for Henry! A fairytale cameo indeed!

Henry is a legend for Arsenal and one of the greatest the Premier League has ever seen.

Hopefully this guy can fire City to the success' that Henry fired Arsenal too:

I. Love. Kun. One of the most passionate City players. Man if City was able to do this much damage with 10 players in 80 minutes, I would have loved to see what would have happened with 11 players. DAT PASSION.

I missed it (Was visiting Grandpa at the hospital.), but wow is that fucking magical. So good.

Great control! And may your Grandpa get well!

My opinion has not changed. I am confident because Vinny only played 10 minutes. He was sent off for nothing. He has already missed one game.

I can understand him shooting his mouth off at Rooney because he can't go directly at Foy, but this is on the level of some seriously bog-standard managers.

Henry's touch for that goal was amazing. Towards the goal, taking enough pace off the pass but not slowing down enough to get caught.

No argument about Foy being a numpty in general - I'll be pissing myself next time he gets a United game.

Swansea's manager hoping to sign McEachran on loan in the couple of days. I hope you become a regular once you're back Josh!

His venting at Rooney was exaggerated, definitely, though I agree with him about Vincent missing one game - a crucial game at that which he was given his marching orders by the worst and most amateurish ref in the Prem this season. Just ask Chelsea and Tottenham fans.

Likewise for me during Chelsea games. For the love of football, may he find another passion.

Looks like once again Liverpool will be competing with Spurs for a signature. Hoilett is allegedly being targeted by both clubs this January.

Wouldn't fancy our chances in that battle at the moment, although don't Spurs adhere to a really rigid wage structure? If we can offer him more money then maybe, but if he goes for football reasons then Spurs is the place to go at the minute.

He'd definitely get more games for us though!

Germany all the way. I kind of expect Spain to fail to be honest, just a feeling. Biggest opponent will be Netherlands/Portugal depending on who goes through. I don't see Portugal as a team that good but if the make it through the group stages they could get a huge boost.

Spurs are the better team at the moment, but that kind of acts against them. Hoilett would walk into our starting XI, but at Spurs would have to try and force his way into what is probably the best midfield in the league right now.

I will. As will Elseanio in 306 and I'm sure Shogun will be in the Kop too.

Liverpool GAF don't disappoint.

Indeed, but if Spurs are challenging on all fronts next year, which they probably will be, then Harry will be able to guarentee him a decent amount of first team football because of the need to rotate. Plus Lennon does pick up a fair few knocks over the course of a season.

He would get more games with us, but I doubt Kenny is ready to consign Downing to the scrap heap just yet. He paid a lot of money for him, and his goal in the cup might have given him a bit of confidence to raise his performance levels.

For those of you who own a DS and like the Alien IP, chances are you'll love Aliens: Infestation. Plays like a Metroidvania game in the Alien universe. (Short game though).

I will. As will Elseanio in 306 and I'm sure Shogun will be in the Kop too.

It would be awesome to watch a live game with fellow gaffers. And a huge one too, City vs Liverpool.

BTW Australia-footygaf I'm currently trying out this Australian Cola for the first time that goes by the name of Bickford's? Good stuff!

Top 20 players in Europe's top 5 leagues for pass success rate:
http://t.co/KpprLF7i

Livermore, King and Sandro all beat Modric onto the list. Not bad.

Nasri being the only City player on there is embarrassing, an attacking player like him shouldn't have the passing stats of a defender/defensive midfielder.

I suspect it would by Kuyt he would replace, given how both him and Maxi are expected to be gone by the beginning of next season.

Eurobot is hilarious.

I love Kun too Fady. And I hope this scoring against United becomes a habit for him.

I hope he becomes a scoring machine myself (except against Chelsea of course). He settled in pretty fast as well, just like Mata did at Chelsea. He sometimes dips for a while, but again so does the best of them. Messi himself was nonexistent in the last Barca game.

Edit - some good news for you dc, re: balotelli:

The 21-year-old striker is tied to City until June 2015 and has no intention of leaving the club in the near future. The Premier League has been a new experience, even if at first it was difficult," he said. "But if I have to tell the whole truth now, it's that I'm really happy here."

I wasn't around last night, at least not on GAF, but I watched the Arsenal game. 60 minutes of complete and utter dross - until the Premier League's finest ever player walked back onto the pitch. It's a strange thing; but when he scored I was almost in tears. It was such a powerful moment, such a privilege to see him back on a football pitch at his club. To see how much that moment meant to Wenger, the fans and especially Henry himself was something magical.

That's why I love football.

It was certainly powerful, and emotional.

I just wish he was ending his career at Arsenal rather than going back to the Red Bulls. If I was Arsenal I'd take some of that Nasri and Cesc money and just give some of it to the Red Bulls. I think he showed last night that he hasn't lost his goal scoring touch.

Julian Koch has signed a new contract at Dortmund until 2013.

Very nice. Only one year makes sense for Dortmund and for him because no one knows how he returns from his injury. If everything goes well, he can sign a longer contract next year.

It was so perfect, as if it was scripted.

I still fear that his legend will be slightly diminished if he doesn't perform as well against better teams in the league. His touch and finish is still first class, but you'd have to question how good his movement will be against better defenders.

It really was a fantastic moment though, such a likeable player.

Yeah I'm an idiot, considering Downing plays on the other fucking wing. Apologies, it's been a long day :P

Lol, know that feeling. Barely the afternoon and I'm already fucked :P. Hows your lad doing mate?

Also, apparently Robert Pires is training with Arsenal today. Wengers plan is starting to be revealed...

I was in London yesterday and bumped in to Emmanuel Petit outside of The Emirates... coincidence??

My lad is home now. He was discharged last night, although he now has a blood clot in his leg because they left one of his central lines in too long! I have to give him injections twice a day for 4-6 weeks, but at least he's home.

Didn't take long. Probably a good move for QPR.

Glad to hear he's home, Mastadon. I'm sure that helps a great deal.

Transfer window has been slow so far. Has Cahill to Chelsea fallen through?

Apparently there was word on Chelsea TV yesterday that he'll be sorted to play for them at the weekend.

Owen Coyle believes it is progressing well, otherwise no updates yet! He did say though that if it does work he expects an announcement to be made wayyyy before the transfer window closes.

Nothing on the list is particularly impressive except for Xavi. Everyone else there is either a defender or a defensive midfielder - their job being to pass the ball sideways and hand it off to a creative player. There's no way a Modric type player would be on that list because his job is to create which involves taking risks.

Xavi, however, is involved in every part of the build-up including the final delivery, which makes his inclusion (and so high up) especially impressive.

Pass completion in the final third would be a much more interesting table.

Quagliarella with fracture in his cheek. Needs surgery. Won't be out for long, I bet, but it makes me glad we got Borriello for all the lol that he is.
