Ok, just to make sure: we're all agreed LSU should be ranked #1, yes?

The MNC game decides the best team in the country. Therefore, Bama is the best. That means LSU's only loss was to the best team in the country. Bama, on the other hand, lost to the second-best team in the country.

And, as was established prior to this game, the team with the best loss deserves to be ranked the highest.

LSU #1!

And don't forget to add to the above indisputable logic, LSU won their conference. Alabama didn't even play in their conf champ game.

Therefore Aliens.

...I mean LSU.

1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Oregon
4. Florida State
5. Boise State
6. Oklahoma
7. South Carolina
8. USC
9. Michigan State
10. Notre Dame

Looks ESPN worthy to me. As much as it pains me to say as an ND fan (actually it doesn't really pain me that much) Notre Dame has no business being in the preseason top 10...not unless a new Russell Wilson-esque quarterback falls out of the sky (our best option is a redshirt freshman?)

Indeed

Boring game, yet still better than the GAME OF THE CENTURY they played on Nov.

Game reminded me of the gata vs Bama SECCG (Tearbow's SR year) where the gatas out-talented every team until they faced Bama, who was a big, strong, and fast as they were. But the analogy doesn't really hold up since LSU did beat Bama early this year.

I dunno...LSU just seemed like they didn't know how to play against a team as good as they were.

ND? :lol
FSU doesn't belong in the Top 20 next year. The Defense will be stout again, but the Offense will again struggle. Almost all of the starting OL will be true sophmores.

And I doubt BSU and MSU will be in the Top 10 preseason. They had a lot of SRs this year.

I wish Saban would go back to screwing up the Dolphins.

Err..more.

So does anyone else think this was one of the worst NC games ever. Plus why are Bama fans so sure they would beat Ok. State or any other of the top teams?

I couldn't tell you. I fell asleep in the third quarter.

South Carolina loses a lot too. But then who really is worthy of being in the top 10 preseason? I think it's going to be like this year with 2-3 amazing teams next year followed by a bunch of ok teams.

Was Jarrett Lee in the dog house? Thats the only reason I can think for not playing him earlier. Plus there was that time he came out on the field and then jogged back without running a play.

I'd take Oregon in the rematch with LSU.

I'd take USC to beat both Bama and LSU.

USC was the best team at the end of the season.

I don't have enough LOL's. The Rubbers couldn't play their way out of a urine-soaked paper bag against Bama or LSU.

Oregon, Stanford, Okie St and BOISE would lose against either of these teams (or should I say, defenses). People talk about how bad LSU/Bama's offense's are but, those offense's are playing against lights-out defenses when they play one another. LSU's defense is lights-out, Bama's is just more lights-out.

Sure, Oregon or Okie would score some points against Bama/LSU. The thing is, either Bama or LSU would score enough points to beat any of the teams listed above, because comparatively speaking, it would be a LOT easier to score.

5 field goals! Wow, glad I didn't stay for that one. At least I figured out last night that SWTOR is just one big grind and I'm not resubscribing.

48-6 Record in the last 4 years. The seniors had to have beaten "someone" that counts, right?

Lights out!

According to my calculations, the Longhorns are 1st, 3rd, and 5th in the most important poll in the country.

I am going ahead and claiming a national championship.

Get ready for the press materials next year then.. "SEC, winner of last 6 National Titles"

No need to wait. There was a commercial for the SEC during the game saying "You are watching Number Six."

Thank god college football is done for the year. Biggest fucking joke in sports.
