Quagliarella with fracture in his cheek. Needs surgery. Won't be out for long, I bet, but it makes me glad we got Borriello for all the lol that he is.

He's going to miss two games at most, not too bad!

Maybe we should bench him next time in January...

Which former player would you bring back to your club?

WIGAN
Any defender

Indeed, but if Spurs are challenging on all fronts next year, which they probably will be, then Harry will be able to guarentee him a decent amount of first team football because of the need to rotate. Plus Lennon does pick up a fair few knocks over the course of a season.

He would get more games with us, but I doubt Kenny is ready to consign Downing to the scrap heap just yet. He paid a lot of money for him, and his goal in the cup might have given him a bit of confidence to raise his performance levels.

Which went right back down again after getting arrested for apparently assaulting his ex. If they got rid of him, it would be better for the team. No point trying to force something that isn't working.

what a joke.

Edit: If you haven't gathered Kompany's appeal has been dismissed. Football will soon be a contactless sport like Basketball.

Yeah just saw that on Twitter.

Dunno what way to feel about it, I can see both sides of the toss.

It'll be interesting to see how City do without him.

Was the ban extended because of the appeal? Its such bullshit that

How much of an administrative burden can an appeal be? They've gotta look at some footage on Sky+ and go yay or nay...

I don't think there should be a ban extension unless there is absolutely no grounds for appeal... like if its beyond doubt... like big Dunc Ferguson butting someone back in the day or something.

It wasn't extended, just upheld I think?

It was his second straight red I think?

edit:

We need to stop thinking and get on googling :P

Yeah it's just upheld.

Hmm. Sounds ridiculous to say this but I can honestly see Mancini going and buying now. This coupled with Yaya gone until Feb.

I mean yeah we've got the squad but I'm not confident that Savic can do a job in the big games yet. Boyata is still young. Richards is a right back but he did a job playing as a make shift centre back the other day.

If anyone has to fill in CB i think it will be Zabaleta. Cause he can just play anywhere.

Its 3 for a straight ban and I think he got an extra game because it was a second straight red this season, or am I talking crap

I said at the time the Kompany appeal was going to be hard for City to win.

I thought it was a fucking brilliant tackle, but by the technicalities and letter of the law it was a straight red and Foy made the right decision.

The problem there is with the rules of the game, unfortunately. Kompany/City were always going to face an uphill battle overturning it.

Theres something wrong with football when this is not looked at:

Yet perfectly good challenges lead to red cards. And I'm not just talking about Kompany. Jack Rodwell anyone?

So Tomorrow is the game Us against The Spurs, huh? I feel good about it, since every year we perform terrible, we turn our tides at Spurs. Last season we drew against them 1-1 where we could have won it. Coleman tormented Bale and Harry called him teh best Right winger in PL (Lol) and the year before we lost 10 games out of 11 and won at spurs 2-0 and thats when we turn our season around.

I say bring it on.

There's something wrong when blurry screencaps are used to judge actions.

Do you have a gif or a replay?

FT: Bayern 4 (Gómez, Schweini, Mueller x2) - 0 India
Urgh, Afghanistan lost to India 4-0 a couple of weeks ago.
does that mean we'd lose 16-0 to Bayern ? :-(
Anybody thinks as well that Hummels looks and plays like Beckenbauer ?

I hope our game against QPR on Sunday will go much better than the last time we faced eachother. :lol

No Barton and a bit a of turmoil (Hughes arriving isn't exactly gonna get everyone in tip top condition straight away) at the club, along with shit form, might allow us a much more promising game.

And how exactly is Hughes an ''ambition''? Bloody media and him overestimating his managerial cereer. I can't wait untill he becomes the next England because he is ''ambitious''

Sky must be fuming that Barton is suspended; they picked the game for no reason in the end... :lol

Wow at giving a free kick but not a red card. If he had not seen it that could have been a decent excuse.

Nope. And what's ludicrous about the rules is that because Clattenberg said he took 'appropriate action' the FA could not look at it themselves and over ride his decision.

I wouldn't mind if Everton did Liverpool and Arsenal a favour, gotta say!

He speaks about Demba Ba again at the end. I wish the prick would shut the fuck up. I'm sick to death of his shit. But it's OK, he's Harry Redknapp. Sky Sports are just as bad constantly interviewing him and putting his irrelevant nonsense on the net and in the news.

Him and a lot of the fans are the reason why I despise Tottenham so fucking much, irrelevant of their footballing capabilities.

Sorry to the fans who aren't uptight self righteous cunts (the fans on here I respect). A few of my mates are Spurs fans and when it comes to footballing matters, are the most retarded and disgustingly misguided football fans you'll ever come across, something that I see more often in the Spurs fanbase than anywhere else.

Calm down Carbonox, 'Arry just likes the boy. As a player. He doesn't like talking about other club's players though. Oh no.

T'rrific.

Two footed challenge, a straight red card by the letter of the law. The appeal was hopeful at best.

Any criticism should be aimed at the law, not the referee, he just did his job and abided by the rules. If Kompany had done the same City wouldn't be left with a weakened defence for the next four matches.
