Real Pic January!

I thought about reading this whole thread, but it's actually kinda long. Cliff notes?
That's hard... basically, there are themed days sometimes, and you avatarize versions of yourself for them (tie monday, hat tuesday etc), but discussion wise, it's just a clusterfuck up in hur.

Oh, and if you see me talking about how i'm saving all the RP* avatars in here, don't think i'm weird, it's just for a collage project. Current count: 647 (that incudes you!)

*RP = real pic, not representative, release pending, or rally point, or received pronunciation.

Oh my god, this is EXACTLY what happens to me. I thought I was the only one, but after I reach a certain point, I just stay up and can't sleep anymore, even though an hour earlier I was drifting.

Hate it, glad i'm not alone though.

Haha, me too! But I tend to peak and dip at random times of the day and then feel wide awake the whole evening into the early hours. Sucks when you have to get up at 6.30.

There be free Hot Cocoa here at work, old man. :D

36, so maybe I'll like 'em cold in a year

Oh I can get down with some hot cocoa too. I have it free here too, but I prefer my blend of Chai Tea that I bring in for morning enjoyment.

and yes, that's another GAF battle.... Coffee is a vile bean that should be eradicated from the Earth while Tea is a fine beverage which should be savored and enjoyed.

7am - I should probably go to bed.
8am - 2pm - ZzZzZz
2pm - 8pm - Man it's late! Guess I'll get on the computer and play some games or waste time on the interbutts.
9pm - Pizza time!
10pm - 12am - Time to play some games.
1am - Still playing games.

How many people here have problems with sleep (like a shifted biological clock), I figured on forums the number is much higher so maybe some talk could be had

Just started my melatonin treatment chugging down 3mg. Hopefully my sleep clock will be fixed with this (need to sleep around 4-6 hours earlier), already feeling a bit sleepy

A few weeks ago we were getting our roof redone, so as early as 6:45AM until about 7 or 8PM there was CONSTANT pounding going on. At times it sounded like we were getting bombed or something.

So naturally my sleep schedule was WAY out of whack that week, with school, work, and that going on. But whenever I needed to try to sleep with that still going on, Bob freakin' Ross on Youtube came to save the day. Listening to his happy little trees and happy little clouds and happy smog with headphones on, and I was out like a light. That's my (non-drug) recommendation!

I've played four too and would rank then thusly:

1. XII
2.VI
3. VII
4. VIII

XII is the first RPG I actually bothered to finished.

Funnily enough, XII is the only FF I've never finished, and I find it utterly boring. I found the story interesting, but the combat felt really slow, and I didn't like being able to aggro things around me in the middle of a battle.

I couldnt get past the first 10 hours of XII. I've tried at least 4 times. I just can't. It's too boring.

(and this is coming from a Matsuno super fan)

Chai is my favorite hot drink ever. In India they sell it in these little disposable ceramic cups. It's so delicious, and it comes with a pretty nice boost to your energy and alertness.

Coffee is useful for early morning shock treatment, especially when it's free. Tea is two cents a cup, and I'm cheap, so it's usually tea for me. :)

views on coffee == views on alcohol: tastes so horrible, must have more please

Yeah, it's like a roller coaster where you're supposed to stop at the top and sleep, since you're tired and have to go down the crazy ride the next day, except you don't stop, just keep going down like O_O

I really should go to sleep now.

Chai, as in pronounce shy? Haha everyone drinks that here in Syria too. That and Metti.

My schedule is basically like this:

7am - Why the fuck am I up?
8am - 2pm - This isn't so bad, I can get things done.
2pm - 8pm - Tired, tired, eyes closing.
9pm - Gotta stay up one more hour. Then I can sleep.
10pm - 12am - I am fucking wide awake right now. Where did this surge in energy come from?
1am - Why the fuck am I not asleep?

My schedule:

10am - Waking up because sleeping more would be ridiculous
11am - Why am I still not dressed? Getting dressed
12pm - Shit, forgot to eat breakfast, eat breakfast
12:30pm - Begin work, fuck yeah!
5pm - Time to eat... "lunch"
5:30pm - Go for a brisk walk around town
6pm - Begin study, fuck yeah!
10pm - Time to play games or read! Fuck yeah!
11pm - Dinner?
11:30pm - Continue playing and reading, fuck yeah!
2am - Bed time? Fuck...

7am - Why the fuck do I keep forgetting to change my alarm to ANYTHING THAT IS NOT TREEFINGERS THAT WAS SUCH A TERRIBLE IDEA
8am - 12pm - uuurrrrrggghhhhhhhhh
12pm - 12am - Wide awake! Why on earth can't I be taking afternoon classes?
1am - Okay, probably time to go to sleep, or else I'll be tired again tomorrow morning.
2am - Maybe just one more hour...
3am - Okay seriously, get off the computer and get some sleep.
4am - All right, that's it, I'm going to bed.
5am - Come on, fall asleep already!
7am - TREEFINGERS FFFFUUUUUUU

There's an Indian Restaurant that my family goes to quite frequently... enough so that the owner always comes out, greets us, gives my children free things... my girls hug him and everyone has a good time.

At any rate, I clean out his little Chai dispenser whenever I'm there because its just so friggen delicious.

Since we're talking sleep schedules, I read an article today that said too little sleep and too much sleep can increase the chance of heart disease. Perfect amount it said was 8 hours.

True story:

I have severe insomnia and tried Ambien. I had gotten a prescription and it seemed to do well by me, but one day I decided to see just how long I could stay awake while under it's influence. I remember sitting on the side of the bed, looking at my hands folded together and then, all at once, it seemed as if my entire world was inside my clasped hands (bad song notwithstanding). Its hard to describe, but it was as if nothing else existed outside of my hands. Was the weirdest thing.

Haha, last time I had a sleep-deprived trip it was basically thousands of spiders crawling from the TV.

Is chai and shaii the same thing? I always thought shaii meant tea in arabic ._.
That's what I thought, but apparently not?! :s You know that green metti stuff they drink, too? It's hot as well and looks like green confetti in water, never tried it but a lot of people drink it here.

No idea. I'm Indian and I don't know. How embarrassing.
I'm arabic and live in a middle eastern country and don't know; you're not the one that has anything to be embarrassed about.

Hmm, interesting. I get about 8.5 hours a night.
Wake up at 8:30 am.
Start work as soon as I'm awake.
Lunch at 12.
Finish work at 5.
Work out from 5:15 - 6:15.
Play video games until 8:30.
Dinner at 8:30 (9:30 if I have to cook)
Games or internet until 12:00, then off to bed.

8:30am - Why is the radio talking about politics *hits snooze*
8:37am - *hits snooze*
8:45am - *hits snooze*
...
9:20am - Fine. You win, reality
10am - arrive at work
11am-6:30pm - GAF too interesting to leave work (also actually doing work)
8pm - Okay, home and ready to do that bit of costuming/guitar practice/LED work/fapping/T-shirt transfer printing/event planning that I've been intent on all day!
11pm - Wasn't I gonna do something? Oh well, I guess tomorrow will be a good opportunity. Now to go to bed!
11:30pm - after this web video
12:00m - and this one
12:30am - I'm not very good at this
1am - Ahh, made it in bed, just in time to have an okay night's sleep!
2am - motherfucker, sleep already!
2:30am - Zzzzzzz

Are they the same thing? What I'm talking about is a milky sweet tea the color of cinnamon. It also tastes a bit like cinnamon. Is that what shaii is?
Yeah there is a type of shaii like that I think, but not the default one... or is it? Shit, I don't know, always deny that stuff when someone offers, even though here it's almost disrespectful, LOL.

I actually found the story pretty forgettable but loved the combat :) I really liked tweaking the gambit system.

I don't really like the combat in regular JRPGS though, it's just something I feel I'm slogging through to try and enjoy the atmosphere. Lost Odyssey is the only 'traditional' JRPG where I've actually enjoyed fighting, but then it's an extremely refined version of the traditional system. LO got a lot of things right in my opinion. It's a very overlooked game.

yeah, I'm the opposite. I play JRPGs for the battle systems. I love JRPG battle systems. That's partly why I didn't like FFXII. The gambit system felt like programming, and playing it without gambits felt like spinning plates.

Who knows? Maybe my problem with FFXII was that the battle system was really boring.

The thing that kills me? I WANT to love FFXII. Aesthetically, it hits all the right buttons. I love the world, the characters, and the story. The combat and dungeons are just so incredibly unfun that I can't do it.

I like how none of these schedules include anything that has to do with love relationships. :lol

the snooze button has been the downfall of my life
SPEAKING OF WHICH, I got this tweak on my iPhone that is hilariously affective. Anytime the alarm comes up, you CANNOT hit snooze until you solve a basic math problem.

Some of them are hard and really wake me up, it's worked so far. :lol

You know Xenoblade is coming out this year over hear. From what I understand, it's uses a lot of elements XII's battle system did.

Definitely buying that.

That can happen anytime. ~_-

Are they the same thing? What I'm talking about is a milky sweet tea that's a light reddish tan color. It also tastes a bit like cinnamon. Is that what shaii is?

Yup, that's what my mom makes :) I always thought it was some arabic/yemeni specific kind of tea. But now everyone is drinking/selling chai tea so I'm kinda confused lol

I've been married 10 years. That fire went out a long time ago.
=(
That can happen anytime. ~_-
Well since we're talking about 'schedules' and 'internal clocks; that fapping thread someone made reminded me, I haven't done it in almost two weeks now?! I think that's probably a high record of mine.

Let's get revealing in here; what's the longest you have ever went without any kind of self pleasure and/or sex?

Chai is Indian, but considering the region of the world, I'm sure it's been passing between regions for centuries.

I'm sure it's North Indian, though. As a South Indian, I've never heard of chai in anyone's homes.

debating on whether to use my pic here, I love that you guys and gals are using them. really interesting seeing all the faces. I just know quite a few developers are on this forum, so I don't want them to recognize me and be able to look at my posts haha.

It's a great JRPG for people who don't like JRPGs :p

OK, now I'm a bit interested.

Anyway, chai is one of my favorite drinks. I had some just a few minutes ago :o

I don't have enough time to make a soundtrack timeline. It is either that or that I am on my third beer @ the local pizza place. Your choice.

Self pleasure.... 3 weeks. Sex while it was available to me... about 4 months. Sex while I was single.... about 5 years.

Yeah, welcome to culture. There's a bunch of arabic dishes I always thought were syrian-specific, but it turns out fucking everyone makes it. :lol

I like how none of these schedules include anything that has to do with love relationships. :lol

Hahaha, no thanks. I've had way too many awful relationships to ever contemplate dating any time soon.

It's a great JRPG for people who don't like JRPGs :p

That I can get behind, and I get why that is. It just turns out that everything I love about JRPGs, it doesn't have, LOL

Nice, i'm nearing on your record there. I probably won't make it.
fucking hate wet dreams, nothing I can do about it either

4 months though, dayum, that's love my friend. 5 years though, O_O' hope that never happens to me, but it probably will.
