So Kompany and Silva out. That's very fortunate for us.
And the Toures. Not going to get a better chance than this.
So Kompany and Silva out. That's very fortunate for us.
Yaya too.So Kompany and Silva out. That's very fortunate for us.
The black one? I have it with Suarez on it, I also have the home with Caroll on it (I know, what a fucking move by me) need to get the 3rd kit though.
So Kompany and Silva out. That's very fortunate for us.
Carroll needs to play for Stoke & Pulis. It is his destiny. I also think he would thrive.
So Kompany and Silva out. That's very fortunate for us.
God I miss Vidic. What a player. Would be so much more confident in our team if we had him, massive loss =(City will be riding high after their loss-that-was-as-good-as-a-win, though.

I'm with you, but you can't really hold a player against his will :/I'm against selling him for around 10m. Like you said, he's worth more. If he finds his old self in the second half of the season, we'll get more money in summer if he still wants to leave. If he doesn't find his form, we'd still get around 8 to 10m. A good replacement won't be cheap, so we really shouldn't sell him too quickly.
The last one was a foul though.

I was thinking that as I chimed in...but couldn't bring myself to post it. That's the key to the Carroll problem really, Liverpool's style doesn't suit him. Another team would bend itself to such a weapon, even in the face of attractive football.
Stoke already possess a 'big man' in Crouchy, I wonder if Pullis could make the 'Get it in the box to the 2 big men' approach work. If anybody can he can...
AV CHANGE FOR RUUD <3

Pretty sure Cleverley is about in the same series.

Let us hope we never have to use him at left back, even if he could handle it.
FUCK YOU MALAGA
Yaya too.
Allbäck was such a stud. Linderoth was our best captain ever, so crazy and so awesome on the pitch, how can you not love him?

I hope you do em, Liverpool. Seems a shame to print shirts otherwise.
Wouldn't be the first time we've prematurely celebrated a victory.
That must be one of the most heartbreaking jobs. I was thinking this last season when City won the FA Cup. The moment they won it the online store was filled with memento's and the like available for immediate sale etc.
The website had wallpapers go up and all sorts.
They must have to prepare all of that days and weeks in advance. Imagine if City lost, it would have all been for nothing.![]()
City can still do a job tonight without Silva. It's time for Nasri to step up to the plate.
I wouldnt be relying on Nasri too much mate. Is Barry going to be available? Far more important player for you lot imho.
No Silva, Yaya, Kolo, or Kompany. That really sucks. Nasri can be great at times - he was excellent against Arsenal. And at least Barry returns. Hopefully Mario does too.
Do you know if Mario is fit to start dc?
He could hardly have looked better in his briefly delayed debut as a substitute against Swansea at the start of the season. Two goals, a brilliant assist for David Silva, brought instant enchantment. But would it last, would Andy Gray's fear for Lionel Messi on a rainy day at Stoke be quickly transferred to his glittering compatriot?
It seemed like a valid question – right up to his extraordinary weekend performance in a losing cause against Manchester United.
Roy Keane, the relentless pragmatist, sniffed at suggestions that City had scored a moral victory after going down to 10 men in 12 minutes. He said that the only thing that mattered was that United were going into the fourth-round draw.
But then not to Aguero, it seemed fair to say. What mattered to him was that he served his team with every scrap of the best of himself. He ran endlessly, he held together the wonderful certainties of his skill and judgement, and he scored the goal that might just have conjured one of the most extraordinary results in FA Cup history.
For some of us the 23-year-old Argentine also hardened the suspicion that his arrival at City signalled rather more than the acquisition of another expensive and undoubtedly gifted performer. It may have been a bit of a reach but that night against Swansea when he combined so exquisitely with Silva, when he released an attacking urge that was simply stunning, it seemed Manchester City's ambition might indeed be entering an entirely new phase...
Keane said that Mancini took away only a defeat but surely it wasn't so. The City manager, a football man not keen on making himself a captive of any kind of hubris, declared that yes, while playing like that with 10 men for most the game, City could indeed win the Premier League.
Balotelli and Dzeko are apparently both fit and should feature in some way.
I certainly hope so. Aguero is awesome up top but I think he will need some assistance tonight!
Edit: Quick look and Dzeko is more of a doubt then I thought!![]()
This video here makes me very happy at times and others it makes me very sad. Xavi is going to leave a massive hole in barcelona when he finally retires and it will be a damn shame that he never got to win a Balon D'Or. Some of this video is just magical
Xavi - 132 Assists for FC Barcelona (2001-2011)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyqaKe9sR5k&feature=player_embedded
Take his first assist (for overmars vs liverpool) in that video, its just amazing.
Yes Fady. I think we will see something like this tonight:
-------------------Hart--------------------
Richards Savic/Zabaleta Lescott Clichy
----------Barry------De Jong------------
Milner------------Nasri---------Balotelli/Johnson
-----------------Aguero-------------------
I think Hargreaves might feature at some point too. I know the plan was to have him playing Premier League come January and that hasn't happened yet. Which is why I think that City will buy a midfielder in this window.
There is a short film of Mario Balotelli in which the striker is decorating Christmas cakes for children at a Manchester City party. He is very focused on this task, irritated when his little snowmen fall over and profoundly serious about making his iced topping look the best.
![]()
And then his attention is caught by a small plastic object on the decorating table. He picks it up, inspects it intently. He asks Nigel de Jong to explain.
De Jong says that it is a party popper, and mimes pulling the string to make the barrel explode. At which point, Balotelli turns to an unsuspecting Joleon Lescott and, holding the capsule an inch from his face, yanks the cord. He then goes back to his cake as if nothing has happened.
Over Balotelli’s shoulder, the lunacy of the event is captured in Gareth Barry’s startled expression. He doesn’t know if Lescott is hurt or angry, he does not know if this is the point at which a less indulgent individual — Craig Bellamy, perhaps — might start looking for a handy five-iron, or whether everyone is going to curl up laughing instead.
The tape ends with Noel Gallagher speculating that, when Balotelli one day leaves City, he will probably be fired from a cannon. Certainly, it will be spectacular.
Ready for some more Balotelli? Here goes. The other day at the Manchester City training ground, workers in the front office were surprised to see a familiar black sports car eschewing its usual parking space and heading towards the large glass frontage at a significant lick.
Just as those inside were preparing to dive for cover, the car halted, close enough for the automatic glass doors to part silently. And Balotelli’s curiosity was satisfied. As he explained to nervous staff afterwards, he knew the doors worked when a person walked towards them, but a car…
Perhaps you had to be there. The point is this. It is quite likely that, when Balotelli arrived at the Carrington site that morning, it was not in his mind to impersonate a ram-raider, just as when Gascoigne departed training that morning on Teesside, he had not already undertaken to joyride the team bus.
